Yep. StayTrue's a straightedge hardcore group who's goal is to spread the edge movement around locally and surrounding areas. You know I'm all about licking them fine female toads, but these guys seem to have the same amount of fun without the help of drugs. The CD that's posted on their myspace is pretty well written, and it should please most hardcore kids. They have some videos up too and it looks like they really enjoy what they do *ribbit*. They have a blog up saying that they'll be playing shows soon, and that makes me hoppy. I hope noone steps on me. I like to bring down the house in those mash pits.

Howdy everyone.

We have decided to come out of our short retirement. As you know, our "Last Show" was August 2, 2008. We have some shows in the works. The line-up is slightly different this time, as it has always been sort of inconsistent. Another addition to the line-up is possible at this moment and is being looked at. We have already started demoing new song ideas for a new EP, three actually. The songs are heavier and more epic with more real ideas attached to them lyrically. The EP is going to be more straight forward lyrically than the previous EPs: Put Up Your Dukes EP, Cross My Heart EP, Punks Not Punx EP and Young At Heart EP. Our band practices have been going well and we are confident that this new music is going to catch the ears of hardcore enthusiasts as well musicians that enjoy solid musicianship. The new set of songs, which should be around five or so, should be done within the next couple of months. It is still up in the air if it will be an EP or a split with the band, Risk It All from Corpus Christi, TX ( www.myspace.com/riskitallhxc ) (ex-Kick Back, Knucklehead). As for new merchandise, that has not really been talked about yet, but if things pick up again with shows and such, we should have some new merchandise out as well. All in all, we are excited and you should be too.

ok well. we are done recording. it took 2 days. intense recording. but it was done. we want to thank alex for being patient with us and just being great to work with. we also want to give a shout out to this guy we met today named, LD. he plays amazing piano and played our intro track. it sounds totally wonderful. the piano we used was actually Don Henley's (of The Eagles, who also wrote Boys of Summer).all in all we got our 5 song ep done recording wise. hopefully you guys will enjoy. we are very happy with the music and it was a wonderful time.

charlie cooked fajitas for us today and they were amazing. listened to vintage 50's vinyl.played scarface on ps2.recording went very well on day 1 for us. finished the drums, bass and rhythm guitars. doing vocal, crew vox, and lead guitars tomorrow. then we should be done. let it out to mix and then get it to you all. here are some pics from day 1.

hi there everyone. we haven't updated you guys on things in the band in awhile. well here it goes.

we recently parted ways with one of our guitarist, Tucker. we know he will be fine and we fully support any endeavors he takes part of. there is no bad blood between us. as a result of this change, Phil, our bassist, is now our guitarist and we are currently looking for a bassist. so the line-up is as follows:

we are going to keep playing shows with this line-up and if we find a bassist suitable, we will add he/she to the group.

in other news, we are recording this weekend coming up (Feb 22-24) at Firestation Studios in San Marcos,TX. we are very excited to be recording there. we will record 5 new songs. we have been playing them since summer and have gotten great responses about them. they contain the new direction the band is going in, which can be described as an epic melodic hardcore sound???anyways, you will have to hear it for yourself when we get the songs recorded. the EP will be titled, The Young At Heart EP.

we have these 5 songs down as a band and ready to record yet we have 13 new total songs that are in the works. so be on the lookout for more coming soon. these songs are in the vain of: comeback kid, verse, with honor, love is red, taken, sinking ships, it prevails, shai hulud. so we will see how it goes.

well, it has been a long time since our last update.
since the last blog, we have achieved so much.

2-we have made new friends in bands and production companies (i.e. Take It To Heart, Shoot To Kill Productions)

3-we have played more shows around Texas that were away from our home base. (i.e. Dallas, San Marcos)

4-we now have 2 new live songs (i.e. "in it to win it" & "the popeye song")

5-jeff is working on 3 new songs

6-we are trying to get a show worked out for shreveport, louisiana. hopefully it works out for us.

7-we would like to play Fallcore this year, so please support us and spread the word about us.

8-phil has a new side project called PURE YOUTH. it is straight edge hardcore and it will consist of him and members of the stay true youth crew. he and jeff recorded a 2 song demo in which phil played guitar and sang, and jeff played the drums, bass and other guitar and also did guest vocals on the 2 songs. the songs should be up soon on the pure youth site. check it out HERE
