Current mood:  okay
I Seahouse si formano nel 2005, col primo, originario, nucleo che vedeva far parte della band: Carmelo, Gianluca, Vittoriana, Elvy.
I Seahouse, come ogni band che si rispetti subiscono dei cambi di formazione nel corso degli anni che, però, non tolgono la voglia di continuare a suonare componendo musica propria.  
Quello che ne viene fuori è una miscela particolare.
I Seahouse potrebbero, anzi, dovrebbero, essere definiti un gruppo di "post rock", ma così non è, o così non basta. I pezzi, ad un primo ascolto hanno tutto per essere annoverati nel genere "post rock". Dicevo, ad un primo ascolto. Il fatto è, che il sound dei Seahouse non è mai sempre e solo post rock, ma è figlio di una miscela, è un sound sheckerato, come lo possono essere vari alcolici che compongono un cocktail. Per certi versi, per certi pezzi, quella vena strumentale quasi decadentista, appunto post, è in primo piano, poi, cambiando pezzo, ci si trova spiazzati dalla furia punk che si inserisce fra le lunghe sessioni strumentali di stampo post rock, senza però, manifestare l'aspetto decadente, il furore punk primeggia e si impone alla struttura post. La musica viaggia sui binari post rock, entrando in collisione con la furia punk che si abbatte sul treno che il martellare degli strumenti contribuisce a muovere. Ascoltando "Need you" sembra che la band porti un omaggio, quasi una dichiarazione d'amore, un bisogno, uno stato di necessità di quella furia e quel furore, immischiandolo, sheckerandolo alle sessioni post rock.

AUDIO La Casetta 2007 - Studio 7
Finally after a hard work came to light at the 'Studio7' of the great Marco Stanca in Lecce, 'NEXT', the first CD full of our band, a trip summed up in 11 songs, different among themselves but with our clear trademark, exploration of different genres and styles, we all feel inside and that thanks to the peculiarities of Instrumental we can come up without limits. The atmospheres in which all we tripped able to meet us in every song, into a direct enhances our feeling on stage and off. A guest of exception to enrich 'Next': our dear friend and artist DANIELE RINI, that among the eleven songs at its disposal has freely chosen to write and sing 'Need You', thus giving a splendid interpretation, which since principle sing in our minds! The positive energy that we breathed next to our Marco pushed us towards a performance quality in an atmosphere of absolute serenity and harmony.

Finalmente dopo un duro lavoro è venuto alla luce presso lo 'Studio7' del grande Marco Stanca a Lecce 'NEXT' il primo cd completo della nostra band, un viaggio riassunto in 11 brani, differenti fra loro ma con il nostro chiaro marchio di fabbrica, esplorazione di generi e stili differenti, che tutti noi sentiamo dentro e che grazie alla peculiarità dello Strumentale riusciamo a tirar fuori, senza limiti. Atmosfere in cui tutti noi ci caliamo riuscendo ad incontrarci in ogni brano, in una presa diretta che esalta il nostro feeling sul palco e fuori. Un ospite d'eccezione ad arricchire 'Next': il nostro caro amico e artista DANIELE RINI, che tra gli undici brani a sua disposizione ha liberamente scelto di scrivere e cantare 'Need You' , donandoci così una sua splendida interpretazione, che sin da principio cantiamo nella nostra mente! L'energia positiva che abbiamo respirato accanto al nostro Marco ci ha spinto verso una performance di qualità in una atmosfera di serenità e armonia assolute.

AUDIO La Casetta 2006 - DEPO
During the month of February 2006 we recorded in direct (and without the use of multitrack digital) at the hall of the cultural evidence 'DEPO' of Lecce our first demo entitled precisely 'Session' as it is the registration of our Evidence developed by ourselves with the help of music editor.
In the demo there are 4 songs 2 of whom influenced by our tastes film, Modern Western, a dutiful tribute to Sergio Leone, to Maestro Morricone, Clint Eastwood, Lee Van Cleef and Eli Wallach the great TUCO (bad) to which we have inspired ; Down by Law, a tribute to its film Jim Jarmusch, which presents a trio of artists Tom Waits (Zack), John Lurie (Jack), Roberto Benigni (Roberto), engaged in an improvisation throughout the film.
The other 2 pieces: Flash the bios a piece with confidence and high-impact sound, Me & Hanna a dark ballad highly emotional.

Nel mese di febbraio 2006 abbiamo registrato in presa diretta (e senza l’ausilio del multitraccia digitale) presso la sala prove dell’associazione culturale “DEPO” di Lecce il nostro primo demo intitolato appunto “Session” in quanto si tratta della registrazione delle nostre prove elaborata da noi stessi con l’ausilio di editor musicali.
Nel demo sono presenti 4 brani 2 dei quali influenzati dai nostri gusti cinematografici, Modern Western, un tributo doveroso a Sergio Leone, al Maestro Morricone, Clint Eastwood, Lee Van Cleef e Eli Wallach il grande TUCO (il brutto) a cui ci siamo ispirati; Down by Law, un omaggio all’omonimo film di Jim Jarmusch, che presenta un trio di artisti Tom Waits (Zack), John Lurie (Jack), Roberto Benigni (Roberto), impegnati in una improvvisazione per tutta la durata del film.
Gli altri 2 brani: Flash the bios un pezzo cibernetico e di forte impatto sonoro, Me & Hanna una ballata dark fortemente emotiva.

About previous experiences in the world of music I do not have much to tell, indeed nothing, because with SeaHouse, this is my first time. I had a little confidence with the keyboard because I "studied" piano but only for a year. If I would have continued, it would be supported by a technique more valuable. But i chose to make music and  I'm not afraid to face my limits because I am sure that i'll always find the right note to express what I have inside. Over time my thechnique  will improves and I am ready to live with so much enthusiasm this beautiful journey together with my companions.

Riguardo le precedenti esperienze in ambito musicale non ho molto da raccontare, anzi niente, perchè questa con i SeaHouse è la mia prima volta. Avevo un pò di confidenza con la tastiera perchè da piccola ho "studiato" pianoforte ma solo per un anno perchè poi, stufa del noiosissimo solfeggio, ho mollato. Se avessi continuato, di sicuro sarei supportata da una tecnica più valida. Ma, la tecnica non serve a molto se non si sà dove applicarla. Ho scelto di fare musica e non
ho paura di affrontare i miei limiti perchè sono sicura che troverò sempre la nota giusta per esprimere quello che ho dentro.. E poi col tempo si migliora e non si finisce mai di crescere ed io sono pronta a vivere con tanto entusiasmo questo bellissimo viaggio insieme ai miei compagni.



DAMIANO CARLUCCIO

Ho iniziato a suonare il basso con dei miei amici all'età di 20 anni, come cover band dei RHCP, dopo lo scioglimento del gruppo un periodo di fermo, sino a quando ho conosciuto Giorgio e Francesco entrando a far parte dei Bubble Bullet un trio power surf del salento. Grazie a Giorgio e il suo incontro fortuito con Luca, ho conosciuto i Seahouse di cui ora faccio parte. 

I started playing bass with some friends at the age of 20 years, in a RHCP cover band.  When the band broke up i had a period of detention until I met George and Francis together with i play power-surf music, the Bubble Bullet. Thanks to George and his chance, i met Luca and SEAHOUSE which I play now.




GIANLUCA VOGLINO

I started playing at the age of 16 years (1991) after i learned play drums thanks to Danilo Ingrosso, a drummer of Brindisi of great experience. In that time I played with my dear friend Andrea Sergio (now a famous cartoonist) on bass and i do not remember the name, the kind of music and the other members of the band. After a year, in Fasano, I had the pleasure of playing with two fellow workers, Carlo Carrieri and Carlo De Blasi both larger and more experienced than I, which played cover of U2 and unpublished new age parts tunes. In 1993 I tried with another 3 groups of Brindisi, with one i played punk (Green Day, Nirvana and similars) with another i played cover of the Beatles. I composed rock tunes with Stefano Fischetto (with whom I had the pleasure of playing well in 2000) on bass and Massimo Reclamation on guitar . Obviously when the music was a passion adolescent with all that entails.
I had my first musical, human and real experience with Nadir (1994) with whom i make  the firsts live concerts. we played new wave rock very special sung in Italian. The band were part by Teodoro Giustizieri (Voice), Giuseppe Magrì Alessio Isidoro and the guitars, and in order of time Motolese Andrea, Mauro Vacca and Savino on bass. In 1997, Nadir is dissolved because the civil service that sends them all to the north. Personally, i was sent in Tuscany (Pescia) where I met a great friend and artist named Federico Cosci. In this period I started to play djambe and bass and with Federico on guitar and Alberto Celli to drums we formed the group Dangerous Toys from a strong acidic punk metal sound.
In 2000 I returned to Brindisi and i return to play drums thanks to Stefano Fischetto with which we play cross over music. In the period from 2002 to 2003 i played with Oizo where i met Carmelo (keyboards), and Vittoriana. In 2003 the band came second in the chart of Arezzo wave selections with
a repertoire of Dark punk (or as Luca loved to define "Chillout core"). From 2004 to 2005, I had the pleasure of playing with Lavorincorso in Lecce, experience in which I did grow so mach technically thanks to the presence of Johnatan Massimo and Luca. Failing to match the work with the music we never had live concert. At this point, with Carmelo and Vivi (with whom me and Elvy became friends in the meantime),  the idea of creating the new Band was born, and given the intellectual affinities and the strong friendship of all stem the SeaHouse.

Ho iniziato a suonare all'età di 16 anni (1991) dopo aver preso lezioni di batteria da Danilo Ingrosso, batterista brindisino di grande esperienza; in quel periodo ho suonato
con un mio caro amico Andrea Sergio (ora vignettista di fama) al basso e non ricordo sinceramente il nome, il genere e gli altri membri del gruppo (praticamente una mazza!).
Un anno dopo a Fasano ho avuto il piacere di suonare con due compagni di lavoro, Carlo Carrieri e Carlo De blasi entrambi più grandi e più esperti di me, con cui suonavamo cover degli U2 e pezzi inediti new age. Nel 1993 ho provato con altri 3 gruppi di Brindisi, con uno suonavo punk (Green Day,
Nirvana e affini) con un altro cover dei Beatles e con Stefano Fischetto (con cui ho avuto il piacere di suonare anche nell’anno 2000) al basso e Massimo Ricupero alla chitarra componevamo pezzi rock. Ovviamente all’epoca la musica era un passione adolescenziale con tutto ciò che comporta.
La prima vera esperienza dal punto di vista creativo e musicale nonché umana sono i Nadir (1994) con cui vengono i primi concerti. Una new wave rock molto particolare cantata in italiano, della band facevano parte Teodoro Giustizieri (Voce), Giuseppe Magrì e Alessio Isidoro alle chitarre, e in ordine di tempo Andrea Motolese, Mauro Vacca e Savino al basso.Nel 1997 i Nadir si sciolgono per via del servizio civile che li spedisce tutti al nord. Personalmente sono stato mandato in Toscana (Pescia) dove ho conosciuto un grande amico e artista di nome Federico Cosci. In questo periodo ho iniziato a suonare il djambe e a strimpellare il basso e insieme a Federico alla chitarra e Alberto Celli alla batteria abbiamo formato i Dangerous Toys un gruppo a dalle forti sonorità acide punk metal.
Nel 2000 sono ritornato a Brindisi e grazie all’amico Stefano Fischetto anche alla batteria questa volta suonando cross over. Le successive apparizioni live avvengono con gli Oizo nel periodo che và dal 2002 al 2003, nell’occasione ho avuto la fortuna di conoscere Carmelo che suonava le tastiere, nonché Vivi. Insieme a questa band siamo arrivati secondi alle selezioni dell’Arezzo wave 03 con un nostro repertorio di Dark punk o come amava definire Luca Chillout core.
Dal 2004 al 2005 ho avuto il piacere di suonare con i lavorincorso a Lecce un’esperienza che mi ha fatto crescere molto tecnicamente grazie alla presenza di Johnatan Massimo e Luca.Non riuscendo a far combaciare il lavoro con la musica non siamo mai usciti dal vivo. A questo punto, con Carmelo e Vivi che nel frattempo io ed Elvy frequentavamo spesso, nasce l’idea di creare la nuova Band e data l’affinità intellettiva e la forte amicizia di tutti e 4 nascono i Sea House che oltre ad essere una band sono la vera essenza dell’amicizia del rispetto e del lavoro di gruppo.

I come from a confused and distorted musical world, now I can define me like a chameleon. I started  to play bass and keyboard when I was 14 years old. By some year I enjoy myself to compose classical music with electronical contamination, by experimenting various sounds and styles. From the beginning of 2009, an agreement was with the members of the SeaHouse band, with which i can best express my  musicals skills.

Proveniente da un passato musicale distorto e confuso oramai credo di potermi definire un musicista camaleontico. Ho iniziato ad avvicinarmi alla musica alla tenera età di 14 anni con vari strumenti tra cui tastiera e basso. Da qualche anno mi diletto a comporre musica perlopiù classica con contaminazioni elettroniche sperimentando suoni e stili diversi. Dall'inizio del 2009 è nata un'intesa ed un affiatamento in questa splendida band i SeaHouse con i quali riesco ad esprimere al meglio le mie capacità creative musicali.

I was 13 years old when I had my first musical experience. With my first band, the "Keep Away (at the time i studied guitar for 2 years), i had several live concerts, so we had known as a minded cover band (from Pink Floid to Queen, from Negroamaro to Muse). over time my musicals necessities increased, but I have not been able to undertake other projects. By the way i kept playing with my friends, experimenting most music and studing modern guitar. At the same time i enjoied to compose some songs with my friend Giorgio Innocente, trying to fuse rock with jazz into a melodic and catchy sounds. After months of research, i met Luca (2009) who introduced myself in a band that meets my needs music, the SeaHouse.

Avevo 13 anni quando ebbi la mia prima esperienza musicale.
La mia prima band si chiamava "Keep Away" (allora studiavo chitarra da 2 anni),con essa ho fatto diverse serate, infatti eravamo conosciuti come cover band di ampie vedute (dai Pink Floid ai Queen, dai Negramaro ai Muse).
Con il passare del tempo le mie esigenze musicali aumentavano, ma non ho avuto modo di inserirmi in altri progetti.
Ho continuato comunque a suonare, provando assieme ad amici, cimentandomi in molti generi e a studiare chitarra moderna. Nello stesso periodo ho avuto il piacere di comporre alcuni brani con il mio più caro amico Giorgio Innocente, sperimentando la fusione tra rock e jazz in chiave abbastanza melodica ed orecchiabile.
Dopo mesi di ricerche, finalmente ho avuto un incontro puramente casuale con Luca (2009), riuscendo ad inserirmi in un gruppo che soddisfa le mie esigenze musicali, i SeaHouse.
