Hello people,
After a long and busy year of travelling, festivaling and music making, the new Samsara album is just inches away from being complete. “The Great Unravelling” is just about ready to unravel, so to speak. The tracks are in the final stages of tweaking, and will set sail for the mastering studio in just a couple of weeks before winging their way via the pressing plant to shops, our website, iTunes and hopefully your living room! It’s been a long time coming, but the date is now set…

Get ready for a whole host of new tunes, including some that all of you brilliant people who’ve been coming to our shows for the last year or so will be familiar with. There are some carnival party tunes, some solid skankers and a bit of ethereal floatiness to boot. We’re all super happy with the results, so keep your ears peeled and hopefully you’ll share our enthusiasm.

As a little sneak preview for everyone, we’re going to be releasing one of the tracks from the album as a free download in advance of the full release. Keep your eyes and ears on our website and MyFace for the details.

Samsara vs. the Winter Blues – December Tour Dates

As a tribute to the Great God of “Oh my word it’s finally finished!”, we’ll be hitting the road for a few dates in late November and December, so keep an eye out for our name in big, day-glo letters, plastered to a wall near you. We’ve got launch dates confirmed in Brighton (27th November @ the Brunswick - NOT the 28th!! Sorry for the misprint), Bristol (4th December @ The Croft) and London (9th December @ The Troubadour) so all you Bristolians, Brightonites and Londoniniums can come and banish your winter blues for an evening. If you’re not a resident of any one of those three fine cities, and would like to see us down at your local, spread the word and tell any promoter friends you have that we’re still booking dates…

We've been into Yellow Fish Studios, done the takes, and now we're ready to hand our new album over to Mr.Producer who will wave his magical finger wands over the bottons, dials and faders to create our first full length album! Nobody knows when it will be ready- least of all us- but definately sometime in 2009. So keep an ear out for new Samsara sounds skankin' across the t'internet and the festivals this summer....Bring da shizzle!

Samsara are chuffed to announce the long awaited arrival of two new members- having enlisted the talents of Mr.Crusoe on the Turmpet, and the skilled energies of the Uplifter on all nature of percussion. and rhythms! The sound grows- Ever onward!!

We're well excited as we've searched and sifted thru the minstrels of Brighton, and we've stumbled across a rare pixilated creature named Lee Westwood- playing otherworldy folk, celtic and blues acoustic music with virtuoso guitarring ting...check out his amazing compositions on www.myspace/leewestwood.com  -  he'll be the opening act at the April 3rd Samsara gig at the Joogleberry Playhouse in Brighton- not to be missed methinks!

Greetings- our next monthly Flare In the Comm:UNITY radio show playing reggae, Dubwise, thought provoking, and also just plain weird music is coming up on Feb 26th 2008- its on Radio Reverb 97.2FM...The show goes out at 9pm- tune in for earlobe fun.

Samsara have a brand new show on Radio Reverb 97.2 fm- the show is called Flare In The Comm:UNITY, and we'll be playing music that inspires and confuses, enraptures and amuses for your gaping earlobes...and we've got guests and general universal and multiversal musings and ponderings, bewitchings and wanderings. We'll be playing music from the comm:UNITY collective, and some of our favourite Reggae, World Music (this month focusing on Mali and Desert Music), and all other styles and influences.
Its airing on Saturday evening 10th November 97.2FM Radio Reverb. Its presented by a different band from the comm:UNITY collective every two weeks..We're well excited- come and listen for some lush tunes and witty banter this saturday eve!
