WIN THE COAT OFF PHIL’S BACK

The Twang are giving their fan’s the chance to win an exclusive one-of-a-kind prize in the run up to their Christmas shows this year.

.. ..

Phil’s iconic coat from the artwork for The Twang’s 2009 album ‘Jewellery Quarter’ is to go to one fan, along with a pair of guest tickets for a show of their choice where Phil will meet them and present the prize.

The coat was worn by Phil when the boys modelled for the artwork, which was painted by legendary ....Birmingham.... artist Temper.

.. ..

For your chance to win this special item, just write a Twang related rhyme for the band.  Four lines about how much you love the band or what the band mean to you - or even how much you want the coat!

The deadline for entries is December 11th 2009.  The band will decide a winner and they will be notified via email.

It's almost that time of year again, and The Twang will be celebrating the holiday season with two special December shows. First up is a rescheduled date in Bristol at the Bierkeller on the 15th (all original tickets remain valid).  Following that is a hometown show at Birmingham's Rainbow Warehouse. 15th December - Bristol Bierkeller (original Bristol tickets remain valid)16th December - Birmingham Rainbow Warehouse. 
 Tickets are on sale NOW at www.seetickets.com and are expected to sell out very quickly.  Make sure you get yours early to avoid disappointment!

On Friday 27th November the boys are heading to The Ritz in Manchester to join local heroes Doves as well as Dave Haslam (Xfm/Hascienda) and Tom Hingley (Inspiral Carpets) to DJ a night in aid of Dyslexia Awareness.

There are also a few live acts playing throughout the night - including The Hayley Faye Band and Badly Drawn Boy. Terry Christian will be compèring.

Doors are at 8pm and kicking out time's not till 4am; entry's £5 and it's all for a good cause, so come on down and join the party!

Phil from The Twang will be DJing at Gatecrasher Birmingham this coming Friday (November 6th).  He'll be spinning the wheels of steel from 1am onwards.

The official video for The Twang's new single, 'Encouraging Sign' is now available to view! The video was filmed at the band's sold-out show at Birmingham Academy on the 11th September 2009. 

'Encouraging Sign' is now available to buy and is featured on the album 'Jewellery Quarter'.

Just wanna say a massive thanks to all of you that made the effort to come and watch us over the past few weeks and for all the big love and support you always show us. 

I truly believe we have some of the best crowds in live music, always up for a singsong and a bounce around and for that I bloody love ya.

I promise I’ll try and keep in touch and let ya know what we’re up to over the next couple of months but for now I guess we’re gonna go lock ourselves away in Twang HQ for a bit and see what new noises we can make so, till the next time, be good, be safe, be what ever you wanna be and I’m sure we’ll be seeing ya round the festive season.

If you bought a ticket from the UEA Box office for last week's cancelled show in Norwich and can't make the rescheduled date tonight - today is the very last day to claim your refund.
