Dear Friends,
Having just completed my winter season at Café Sabarsky uptown, I am now embarking on a decidedly different adventure with FOREIGN AFFAIRS, a new contemporary cabaret night I am creating with the Canal Chapter in their raw loft space downtown. I will host and perform modern takes on vintage songs and may even revisit excerpts of my Klaus Nomi tribute from 2006. In addition, every week will feature performances by invited guests.
On opening night, March 6, I will be joined by the poetic French Neo-soprano Nicole Renaud, the beautiful performing duo Shien Lee and Lucas Lanthier (producers of the swank Dances of Vice club night) in their NY Premiere of their music group Shanghai Triad, and the extraordinary burlesque artiste Amber Ray.
