Please take the time to check out the brand new Keelay and
Zaire release “Ridin High” which we are excited and proud to release
today in stores everywhere. The album has been getting excellent
reviews everywhere and is the culmination of months upon months of hard
work. Congratulations to Keelay and Zaire and the whole Sole Vibe click
on a great album!

In today’s finicky market, it is rare to find a cohesive, thought
out, and consistent record. The industry is so watered down, and the
music won’t stand the test of time. “Ridin High” is the first in a
series of MYX Music Label releases showcasing the lost art of making
top quality, dope music, front to back.

If you’re in the San Francisco Bay Area this
Thursday 3/12, we are having the Keelay and Zaire CD Release party !

Brand new and hot off the press is episode 4 of Built from Skratch. In this episode your host, KMEL's Ro-B, sits down with Bay Area supergroup Zion I at 880 Studios. Zion I has climbed to the top of the independent game with conscious wordplay, dope beats, and a high energy stage show. They have escaped the "underground" with big time collaborations with Too Short, the Grouch, Mistah Fab, Clyde Carson, San Quinn, and more. The duo of Zumbi and Amp Live talk about their style, the game, and their views on commercialism in hiphop!

Next up we have three of the greatest DJ's ever to touch the wheels of steel - The Triple Threat DJ's. The three pioneers - DJ Shortkut (Beat Junkies), DJ Apollo (original founder of the Invisibl Skratch Piklz), and DJ Vin Roc (5 Platoon) talk about how they got together to form the supergroup Triple Threat. Their innovation and love for the music and culture sets them apart from other DJ's, and shows why they remain some of the most sought after DJ's in the world.

Finally we have Bay Area certified gear stop True Clothing. You can't throw a rock from a building without hitting someone with a True shirt or True bought sneakers on the in the whole Yay Area. True designers talk fashion, sneakers and what's hot and what's not. Come in and take a look. This is episode 4 on Built from Skratch!

Episode 2 is finally up at www.builtfromskratch.com ...In this episode we travel to the house of DJ Q-Bert, and watch as he talks a lil' history, goes through several of the scratches in his repertoire, talks about his company Thud Rumble, and shows why he's the best to ever do it. We also highlight Haji Springer, the Yay's own Indian hyphy rapper, and San Francisco's clothing/sneakerhead shop True.

We have lots more in store for 2k8 on the show, including appearances from: Hieroglyphics, Q-Bert, Zion I, Sabac Red (formerly of Non Phixion), Machete Vox Records (DNAE BEATS, Zman, Boac and Conceit), Triple Threat DJ's, Stash Magazine, the Mighty Underdogs (Gift of Gab, Lateef and Headnodic), Filthy Dripped, Traxamillion, Jake One, Massive Monkees, Vitamin D, Choklate and many more! Stay Tuned to Myx!!

Current mood:  blah
what it is tho? I thought I'd log on for once and semi-update some shit...I added a few pics and some videos, some of that good ol' Boom Bap Project shit...We're (BBP) working on the new album AND we were able to re-purchase our old domain name, and the NEW site is www.boombapproject.com. We are still Rhymesayers all day and the new album will hit in 2008!

Working on a few things. Check for Myx Music, the new label I am heading and a branch off the Myx TV tree.  http://www.myspace.com/myxtvmusic . Our first album is a compilation including exclusive guest appearances from CHOPS, DJ Babu, Illmind, The Pacifics, the Visionaries, myself (of course), Jern Eye, DJ Serious,  DJ Rhettmatic, DJ Vin Roc, Zion I, Roscoe Umali, Nump Trump, JFK from Grayskul, and many more...look out for "20 C Energizers" in early 2008...

Also working on new music projects with my man DNAE Beats  http://www.myspace.com/dnae  and have started a dope new "supergroup" with the worlds greatest DJ (and producer) Vin Roc and Jern Eye from the infamous Lunar Heights crew. Our first hot shit  is called "Blowin Up" and features Roc C...

Being back in the Bay Area is great. I have season tickets and the 49ers suck ass. I mean, I get so pissed at the team and the coaches, I almost regret buying the tickets...we'll turn it around and our legacy will easily always outlive that of the Seahawks (I fucking hate the Seahawks)...holler atcha dude...the new number if you don't have it is 415 889-9300. It's about to get real gully in 08...shit ain't changed, the stakes just get a little higher....
