Hi all.

Whew....the miles are piling up on the road and I wanted to thank everyone that has been a part of this very special last year. I tallied that we have travelled 41,000 miles and played over 200 shows in 38 states in the last 10 months.

The CD is going to national radio  in one week and I will give you a list of stations, cities, and phone numbers to call and request cuts from our new CD, "Welcome to the Nowhere Motel" as well.

After Sep. 13th we will have some downtime until Jan. 1 when we hit the road in full force so please check our schedule. We will be coming to a town near you.

Hope that you are having a great summer!

Cheers. GK

Hi all!

I'm writing to you from St. Louis and wanted to thank everyone that has been coming out to shows from Bostin to Austin. This summer I'm logging 13,000 miles on the road and have had the opportunity to play for and meet a lot of great people. (Thankfully, other than a new alternator and a few wires on the AC nothing has gone wrong w/the truck.) As a result of being a tried and true road dog in 2009, I have become one of the "Twenty Most Booked Acts on Sonicbids" and plan on keeping that pace in 2010. (With the exception of some downtime to do some recording in LA or NYC.)

The new CD, "Welcome to the Nowhere Motel" came out nationally on June 23rd and can be found at your local Best Buy or indpendent music store. (Not to mention Itunes and Indiekazoo, too.) Thanks again for everyone that has played a part in the recording, producing, and supporting of the CD, especially all of you that purchased it and continue to come out to shows and listen. It means the world to me.

On the news front, CMT.com has included the song, "That's Not Me" on their Summer List of New Independent Music to Listen To:

Also, I'm playing on KDHX 88.1 in St. Louis July 8th at 9 AM. To hear a live stream of the interview/show go to www.kdhx.org It is a really great show and it will be nice to sit down and chat with Roy Kasten.

Have a great summer and I will see ya on down the road.....

Take it easy but take it,

Greg

Hi all.

I'm proud to announce that Kealon Records will be partnering with Good Stuff PR out of Nashville and Sneak Attack Media out of NYC for our upcoming CD, "Welcome to the Nowhere Motel." Available in stores June 23rd, Itunes, and distributed throughout North America via MRI/RED, it will also be accompanied by an extensive solo tour throughout 2009 and 2010.

While I'm writing this note, I also wanted to take the time to thank everyone for their continued support and attendance at countless shows throughout the last year, especially our CD release shows in NYC, Philly, Lancaster, and Harrisburg last month. Good times and great hangs!

Have a great summer and I'll see ya out there on the road.

Take it easy but take it, GK

Hi all.

I just got back from spending some great time down south. I want to thank everyone at SCAD radio in Savannah for inviting me to do an interview at the station. (Especially Isabelle.) Also, Karen at WDVX 102.9 in Knoxville for spinning "There But By The Grace of God Go I." Last  but not least, everone at Disc Exchange for Record Store Day. ( I came a heartbeat a way from opening up for Wilco there but that story is for another day.)

CD Release shows are coming up next week so I hope to see everyone in NYC, Philly, Harrisburg, and Lancaster!!

Take it easy but take it,

Greg

Hi all.
The last year and a half has entailed flights  back and forth to record and mix the CD in LA, SXSW, mastering the CD in NYC, and countless shows from Austin to Portland. (Not to mention meeting and drinking with numerous characters that were met along the way.) The culmination is our first nationally distributed CD, out in select stores nationwide on June 23rd and available on Itunes.
Along with Kealon Records, Good Stuff PR, and  MRI/RED the groundwork has been laid out for 2009 but before I hit the road promoting the CD solo, we are having four CD release shows/parties with the full band and we hope to see you out there! Lastly, a special thanks goes out to Brian Long at Kealon Records, Missy at MRI/RED, Matt Keating, Adam Lasus, Kirk Swann, Jason Mercer, Missy at Good Stuff PR, Joe Lambert, Kenny Feldman, Duane Jarvis, and Jordan Richardson for making this all possible. It meant the world to me.

The shows and dates are:
8PM, Wed. May 6 @ Alphabet Lounge, 104 Ave. C, NY NY 10009
9PM, Thu.  May 7 @ The Fire, 412 W. Girard Ave. Phila. PA 19123
9PM, Fri.  May 8 @ Zee's, 1104 Carlisle Rd. Camp Hill PA 17011
8PM, Sat. May 9 @ Lizard Lounge, 223 N. Water St. Lancaster PA 17603
*all shows are 21 and over with a $5-7 cover charge.
Take it easy but take it,
Greg

National Record Store Day was started in 2007 to celebrate the 700 independently owned record stores around the US. Sponsored by Warner Brothers Records, it is a great day of live music, food, and drinks at all participating stores around the nation. Along with Kim and Kelly Deal of The Breeders, Del McCoury, and myself. There will countless other musicians at various other venues on April 18th. I will be playing a solo show at Disc Exchange, 2615 Chapman Hwy, Knoxville TN 37920 at noon so if you are around the Knoxville area, come on out and support independent record stores! To see other locations, shows, and times, please go to www.recordstoreday.com
Hope to see you there! GK
