Current mood:  jedi
Well my friends,
It's about that time. The long, hilarious, 6 and a half year adventure we all called "charged" is grinding its way, down to its final resting place. It's had its ups and downs, lefts and rights, peaks and troughs, etc. We're writing this blog to tell everyone of our disbandment and to come see us at one or both of our last shows in March. They are both at houses and both are FREE. We have played mostly free shows together as a band and it only makes sense that the last few stay that way. The lineups for both shows are not set in stone yet but they will be announced as soon as we know them. Thank you to everyone who has ever supported, liked, loved, hated, seen, heard, or talked about us over the past years. Thank you to anyone who ever helped us out on the 2.5 tours we somehow managed to pull off. And thank you ESPECIALLY to the kids of the Santa Clarita Valley. We hope to see you in March.

Punk forever,
Charged

Our very own John Baehr just pressed 15 copies of a booklet, titled "Leeches and Vultures", containing brand new works of his (4 poems and 5 photographs). If you'd like to get a copy, email chargedscv@aol.com. There's only 15 made and it might be a one time pressing, so yeahh. They'll be 2 bucks online and FREE at Toxic or the next Charged show(s) which will be in March.Yeaa, 2, possibly 3 shows coming up in March. We're dying, but not dead.-Jay Bee

If anybody reading this votes 'yes', go fuck yourself. Plain and simple.

I've been reading and listening to reasons people and politicians have to vote 'yes' and they sicken me. It doesn't infringe on any of your religious rights or freedoms. Some are claiming that children are ENTITLED to a mother and father and that there are statistics that show either having a motherless or fatherless childhood can be harmful. Maybe so on being harmful for some, but hey, survival of the fittest. My grandma grew up in Germany throughout WWII and the whole Nazi regime with no parents. She lived her whole childhood in an orphanage and grew up to raise my dad (the myth, the legend, Tommy Baehr). These supporters of 'yes' on Prop 8 believe that America is some perfect place where everyone has a mom and a dad and that's the way it should be. I'm pretty sure the divorce rate is past 50 percent now. I may be wrong, but it's up there.

All that matters is a kid has two parents that love and care about him/her. Having gay or straight parents is much better than growing up in some militant orphanage.

There's nothing wrong with being gay. Some people are simply born like that. Whatever.
DON'T KNOCK IT 'TIL YOU TRY IT!

Be mature and tolerant and vote NO on Proposition 8.
