Sonic South - The Beat of the Southeast - kicks off their Songs of the South playlist this week with "Another Me"... off of last year's The Jesters of Xmastown release. Check out the artist's representing our region www.sonicsouth.wordpress.com

The upcoming film, "My Life as Abraham Lincoln" will be featuring "No Valentine" from the Big Bus Dream self-titled '06 debut. The tune will be used complete in a musical number. The director Shari Saberman said she may even include lyrics with a bouncing ball. Cool. The film is in post production and is due out early next year.

"Mary Has Spoken" will be featured on a new show called ACROSS THE POND. The show will be on the most listened to independent radio station in the United Kingdom. An interview we did with Don Thatcher (HT Media, www.octavematch.com) here in the United States discussing "Mary Has Spoken" will be featured at 7:00 ET followed by the tune. The entire show is on between 6pm and 8pm ET. People here in the United States can stream the show on www.manchesterradioonline.com

Hey All. We have added 3 tunes from our self-titled debut up on our MySpace. Please check these tunes out. These tracks helped make the '06 disc an Editor's Pick at CDBaby. We begin tracking new tunes this Saturday. Hopefully, if we move it along, we'll be releasing  new music this Summer. Of course, along the way we'll be putting up some of the early tracks for our friends to check out...your feedback means a lot to us.

Co-producing, and playing keys, on these early tracks is Eric Holloway. He was nominated for a Grammy in '04 and has scored numerous films. He has performed with The Pirates of the Mississippi, Chick Corea, John Anderson and Bertie Higgins (yes, the Pina Colada guy/song). Seems like he should have an open mind....which is where we come from. Maybe he'll bring along some of Bertie's favorite beverage. We'll see.
