Hi everyone!

We just posted a NEW interview(in our player) that Jared and Matty did in Toronto with the one, the only, Gabe Morency of Hardcore Sports Radio!

Gabe is the most outspoken, straight-shooting sports journalist in Canada, and probably the world! And he loves HEAVY FUCKING METAL! Check our music player for the entire uncut, uncensored interview.

Current mood:Your Dad?
What's up Boos and Ghouls,

I thought I would reciprocate some of the love you all have been sending our way. I speak on behalf on the rest of the PA guys when I say we all are humbled and thrilled by your positive responses.

The last two years have been kind of a whirlwind, with lots of ups and downs. We’re all really jacked up that Roadrunner finally signed on to be a part of the PA team.
Everyday is a day closer to the release of our debut album “Vllians.” In the next few months things will be happening really quick.

We are currently having Travis Smith (art guru and sex god behind many of your favorite bands art works) working on the art for the album.

A new MySpace with brand spanking new photos will be accompanied by a couple new tracks (and hopefully a sexy album trailer) off the upcoming debut will be up in the next couple months.

In addition to our album hitting stores, we will be hitting the road.

In just over a week now we will be heading to the west coast of Canada for a short Canadian tour with our friends in Senses Fail. Do yourself a favor and check the show details (on our MySpace page) for more info. If we are in your town come hangout, buy some merch, and take some pictures with our silly asses.

A huge thanks must go to all the folks at Roadrunner Canada for not only getting us a spot on CMW (earlier this month) but for saving our asses.
Due to stormy whether and a huge 8 –semi pile up our drive to Toronto was stopped short only 8 hours in to it. We found ourselves driving home defeated and bummed that we could not make the show. However, the lovely folks at RR Canada stepped up and paid for us to fly out to T.O. in time to make the show.

Our time in Toronto was awesome and we want to thank everyone who came out and partied with us at the Reverb. Our label mates Dommin (www.myspace.com/dommin) couldn’t have played any better or been any nicer. Another huge thanks goes out to the guys in Bleeker Ridge for not only a greats how but for lending both Dommin and ourselves gear.

While we were in the big T.O. Andrew and myself hooked up with the lovely ladies at Slither Rock for an interview which you can check out below.

PORT AMORAL will begin recording their debut album next week in Baltimore, Maryland, with super producer Brian McTernan(the genius behind band such as THRICE, DARKEST HOUR, STRIKE ANYWHERE, MONEEN, and SENSES FAIL).  Brian is a diverse producer with a great resume and has been making timeless records since the early 90’s.  Due to his history of being familiar with punk, rock, and metal, he was the perfect option for the band considering their brilliant fusion on all three genres. The band plans to keep everyone updated with studio blogs, so stay tuned, as the boys work to crank out an album like no other.

Roadrunner Records is proud to announce the signing of Winnipeg, Canada's melodic metal band PORT AMORAL. The group formed in 2004 and is comprised of a brother team of Jared Weiss (vocals/bass), and Eric Weiss (guitar), as well as Andrew Campbell (guitar), and Matthew Hallick (drums).

PORT AMORAL was signed by longtime Roadrunner A&R man Monte Conner, founder of landmark metal bands like Sepultura, Slipknot, Machine Head, Fear Factory and Trivium. Conner's interest was initially sparked after hearing demos produced by Canada's John Paul Peters (Comeback Kid, Waking Eyes) and taking in the energetic live show that PORT AMORAL has come to be known for. But what sealed the deal and made Conner and the label brass realize PORT AMORAL was ready for Roadrunner was the demo recording of the band's newest song - "Villains." This four and a half minute mini-epic is a testament to the bands ever growing maturity and the ability to make complexity and simplicity work in perfect harmony. To stream the demo of "Villains," visit: www.myspace.com/portamoral

Says Conner: "What is striking about "Villains" is that the song starts with an amazing and catchy section that could be a song in and of itself. Yet they abandon it a little over a minute in and change gears into a whole different song, with the intro being briefly reprised at the end. PORT AMORAL are very smart about how they arrange and structure their songs and it is a progressive element such as this that keeps you on your toes and shows their writing prowess and maturity. And let's not forget about Eric Weiss' guitar heroics!

"We could not be more excited about joining Roadrunner Records," says Jared Weiss. "A label that has always focused on metal and the hard music that we pride ourselves on. It's been a long and hard journey to get to this point, but we're ready as ever and humbled by the process of signing such an important record deal with a true A&R legend in Monte Conner. We cannot wait to record our first album which we promise will be a metal record like none other."

PORT AMORAL is managed by Trinity Management Group and  will record their debut Roadrunner album this fall with Colin Richardson for a Winter 2009 release. In the meantime, you can visit Port Amoral's homepage at www.portamoral.com as well as aforementioned myspace page www.myspace.com/portamoral .
