Just thought I would write a little blog about a couple of good gigs. October was great with parties in Belgium (Dark Nature) / Germany (U60) / Slovenia (Inbox) / Russia (Matrix). The party at Inbox which was the former Fun Factory club but now totally refurbished and re-styled the club looked and sounded amazing. This was the first hard techno night in the new club and the night had a really good atmosphere. The week after which was Halloween I played at Matrix in Nizhniy Novgorod, Russia which was my first time in Russia. I must say for me this was one of the best parties of the year. The energy you felt from the crowd was electric and the promoter had different go-go dancers / artistic dancers all over the club dressed up for Halloween just to make the night that bit special. I know a few djs that won't go to Russia for one reason or another but I was treated so well and have nothing but good things to say about the club / country. I think Russia will soon become a new area to grow with hard techno scene and I can't wait to come back.

Last weekend I played a new night called "Go Hard or Go Home" held at the famous Cherrymoon club in Belgium. I was really looking forward to playing Cherrymoon for a while and knowing the club is mainly a "Jump" club I just hoped people would be into my music. After hearing the last 2 dj's playing I knew I could make a set to fit in and I loved every minute of it. What I really love about Belgium people is that they always open there minds to different styles of music and just dance till the end. I also heard some great and inspiring sets from Manu Kenton and D-Feat which is quite rare after 23 years of djing.

This is just a small blog to tell you all I won't be playing tonight at Electronic City. This is totally out of my hands. The promoter "forgot" to book my flights and also for Patrick DSP so we won't be there tonight. I was really looking forward to coming to play so if anyone asks where am I you know the truth.

I thought I would write a few things about my birthday weekend on 27/28 June. This was the 3rd year I have held my birthday party in Belgium and 2nd with Moddi and his Footworxx night at Hangaar 1. All I can say if that every year it just gets better and better. I gotta give shouts to all the djs that came and celebrated in true Belgium style, from what I could see they all had a blast. I think the whole night had a really friendly vibe about it and I even met a few new people that i've not seen before which was cool. I think the concept of 3 different music style rooms worked well and it gave people more room dance. It was also good to see some people from the UK and Spain had made the trip to Ostende as I know that would of been a expensive weekend.

Next year I will be 40 so I wanna make it even better so I hope you will all come back for some more HARD JACKIN'

Straight after Hangaar 1 myself, Frank Kvitta, Boris S had to drive to Ruhr in Love festival to play which was my first Ruhr but I had a good time meeting up with other BULLSHIT artists and having a few drinks. Later in the evening we was all playing at Empire of Love afterparty along with loads more djs from Ruhr festival. I finally managed to get some sleep at 6am on Sunday morning.

Thats all folks.

New for 2008 is the next release on my JACKSTAR label.

SEBASTIAN PRELAR - ROYALE BANGIN’ (JKS014)

A1) Beat that shit

A2) Lets get jacked

B1) Touch em toes (original mix)

B2) Touch em toes (Alex Calver mix)

This is the first release on JACKSTAR for Sebastian and his jackin’ skills are in full force with 3 tough bangers that will have that dancefloor jumpin all night. As with the last few JACKSTAR releases I wanted a harder techno remix on the B-side so I roped in the talents of top UK producer Alex Calver (Glitch/Carnage) and i’m sure you will agree he’s done a top job of ripping up the beatz.

In the shops now.
