OUT NOW - "Inner Scream" (OH-U018) Oh! Records is proud to present Deriwer (a.k.a. DJ Tibbs (Tibor Toth)) - a talented, up-and-coming and electronic artist. "Inner Scream" (OH-U018) is a smooth and floaty, progressive tune. We look forward to hearing more tunes from this budding songwriter. OUT NOW at BEATPORTGet it while it's hot! :) --- About Deriwer:He discovered electronic music at a very young age,in the mid 80s, through the likes of Kraftwerk, Jean Michel Jarre, The Communards, Depeche Mode, Tangerine Dream, etc. In the early 90s, he started to visit local clubs in Hungary and discovered the underground sound of techno, trance, and progressive house. After watching the dj's at work in the club, he soon realised his calling was DJ'ing. After learning the technical side of DJ'ing, he started to organize parties for friends. A few months later, he got a chance at a local club as they were looking for new DJs to promote their night. After a succesful few years, he moved to London in 2000... In 2003, he began to write sample based music for his DJ set. Since then he developed his home studio and has begun more serious work in music composition. OUT NOW - "Overseas Trippin" (OH-U017) Oh! Records is proud to present accomplished sound designer and electronic artist, Timothy Allan's latest single, "Overseas Trippin" (OH-U017). This track is a trippy, progressive number that'll fit nicely into your closing set hours. OUT NOW at BEATPORTGet it while it's hot! :) --- About Timothy Allan:Allan first discovered electronic music in the mid 1980's after hearing songs composed in the almost extinct method of computer 'tracking'. Discovering the underground, pre-Internet BBS scene that traded and created these files would prove to be instrumental in furthering Allan's creative development. Initially using computer and software technologies to create compositions, Allan eventually felt limited by the restrictions of the medium and began to explore other avenues of production. In 2002, with the acquisition of a synthesizer workstation, studio monitors, a four-track recorder, and a small drum machine, Allan began to write using physical instrumentation rather than computer-generated sound. He continues to explore and extend the boundaries of this medium and works to produce music from his private studio. After moving to Australia in 2004, he merged his hardware with software in order to take advantage of the unique benefits that each have to offer. Now, with the convergence of the two technologies, he has found a musical vehicle that is truly limited only by imagination. Timothy Allan is currently approaching his music with more serious intent as it is proving to receive positive attention from critics and consumers alike. ----- Reviews from Timothy's Sample CD:"Housematic", my House Music Sample CD is finished and in full production! It is being distributed by Big Fish Audio, TimeSpace, Bestservice AND Tekniks. Future Music reviews my Housematic Sample CD in the Winter edition - 8/10 "...there's plenty to be getting on with in one of the most varied collections that we've come across in this genre" and "...material that should appeal to a broad spectrum of house lovers." Housematic was reviewed in Sound on Sound, as well as the Dutch music mag Interface! Interface even included samples from it on their cover CD so thanks to all the guys over there. Computer Music Magazine reviews my Housematic CD! - 8/10 "Containing a wide selection of loops, single hits and multis, this one is designed for hard house producers. Each folder within the kits section is named according to the tempo of its loops, which range from 126bpm to 136bpm. These offer various combination of drum voicing: kick and hats; snare and hats; kick and snare. Youll also find melodic bass, synth and vocal loops, and the multisampled instruments include basses, electric pianos and a house organ. The content is very will produced and should provide plenty of ammunition for even the most prolific producer."

OUT NOW - "Ecranoplan" (OH-L013)
Oh! Records is proud to present British electronic artist and sound designer, Dub Submarine. "Ecranoplan" is a laid-back, cerebral exploration of trip hoppy rhythms with layered textures of voices and sound effects taking you into different realms of thought and emotion. This is an EP with longevity that will stand the test of time in one's chillout collection. Dub Submarine: Dub Submarine is a new project by the man behind over 50 computer game and film soundtracks. "I grew up with the very first home computers and was always interested in the sound and music that could be generated by those machines. During that evolution of synthesizers and computer assisted music I got into Hip-Hop and more psychedelic stuff like Pink Floyd, Gong, etc." "I find myself in the age of downtempo which is perfect for me because it encompasses all the things I have loved throughout my life .. the electronic, the crate digging goodness of Hip-Hop and the psychedelic." "I have been making music for other people now for 20 years. In the computer games business I would be asked to create orchestral music, techno, d'n'b .... you name it. Dub Submarine represents the music I make for myself and I sincerely hope you can get into it. Thanks for listening."
