Bruce, Byron, Marcos, and Michael laid back for an evening of groovy tunes at Studio 74 in the Tower for the November Art Hop. Diane (artist and gallery owner) showed some really fine work (we especially liked her coffee paintings). The evening was fairly low key and pseudo-sophisticate, but after most of the gallery patrons had passed through during the first 2-hour set (more lounge and ambient to fit the mood), we opened it up a little... variations on a 70s Ethiopian funk theme... Respectable Citizen (Bennett/Diel/Galloway/Zamudio) played for over 5 hours at the Piperlab on Friday, August 14, 2010. Here are part 1 (a little over an hour), part 2 (a little under an hour), part 3 (a little under an hour), part 4 (a little under an hour), and the final (alas, without Marcos) part 5 (a little over an hour).

Respectable Citizen (Bennett/Diel/Zamudio) had a grand time playing in front of some amazing paintings (thank you Daniel!) at the Brass Unicorn for the August Fresno Art Hop. Here is part 1 and here is part 2.

Respectable Citizen very much enjoyed playing a late night set at the Collins Pub in Seattle on 01.22.09. Joining the core trio were Paul Hoskin on contrabass clarinet and Ian Dobson on steel drums (what a crazy quintet!). Much fun was had by all. You can hear the results here!

it was a clear winter night, and we saw fit to entertain those weary souls who would venture to the piper lab once again. the sounds of the second set can be heard here.

it was an exciting adventure with the whole quartet (michael, bruce, byron, and vance) and what a trip this was! the snow came down... after playing at a gallery in seattle and more or less ice skating with the minivan down capital hill, we made the trek up to bellingham--ice all over the roads. the big chill. the beaf was very warm and welcoming in spite of the weather. here's a recording of the show at the museum of electricity (in a big boomy concrete box). we resorted to a ritual, faux-raga for sunny, but frozen, winter days. tibetan cymbals courtesy of cousins tracy and ayla... hear it for yourself here:
