I've been thinking of you. I have just been too busy to write. I just had a quick thought that I want to run by you....

Have you noticed that everyone looks like a blog?

Hah, this is an exciting development... I think I may have just coined a phrase/ insult! I have "googled" the phrase, and yes, even with the quotation marks... but no results, hmmm....

"Hey, buddy. You look like a blog!"

Or...

"Hey, you over there. Your music is like a blog!"

(Oh... boom chaka laka! What a diss...)

I Thought the only appropriate response would be to write a blog about it...

Now on to the fun stuff... Happy Belated New Year! I have been busy as heck working on some new songs, and a load of other fun projects. I have failed miserably on my ambitions to have another mini album out by the new year! It is February and I am nowhere close to having any material to release. So, while I kick myself for making unrealistic goals, you can listen to The Jumper Cables a few more times! New songs will be coming eventually... I promise!

Winter has been kind in Montreal this year, I have barely noticed it. Although things have certainly slowed down since the fall and summer, which is always a bit of a downer. I am going to get started on booking another summer tour soon. If anyone can help out in any way - that would be super!

I was at Halifax Pop Explosion back in October, and did some recording on Rich Aucoin's upcoming record. The thing is an amazing beastly monster, and I can't wait to hear it when it's finished. Something to look forward to.

For the record and those of you in Halifax, I will be playing at Halifax Pop Explosion on Thursday at Hell's Kitchen (at 10:00 sharp!) I hope you can make it... I am bringing the tickle trunk out to this one!

I am still getting back in order from the madness that was Pop Montreal a couple weeks ago. Here is a few of my highlights:

- Burt Bacharach (I have been waiting years to see him)
- The Persuasions
- Silver Apples
- Patrick Watson (live recording inside a 50 person chapel.)
- The Magic
- Final Fantasy (In the tiny basement of a tiny record store.)

That list can go on forever, it was 5 days of what a late 90's basketball fan might call, "Vince-anity."

On other notes, I have written a handful of songs lately and after Pop Explosion I am taking a break from shows to sit myself down and record some songs. More on this soon...

Pop Montreal is approaching and I am getting excited! I will be playing at Barfly on Friday October 3, so please come by if you are not to busy at Burt Bacharach! (I am still getting over having to miss it!) Halifax Pop Explosion is coming up shortly thereafter, and then the Pete Samples live extravaganza will be wrapping up for a little while!

It has been a busy summer of touring my last record, "The Jumper Cables." After both the Pop festivals, I am taking a break from shows to start recording and getting back to the studio side of things! I am looking forward to the next one folks, but I won't say more than that until I have some results!
