The band has been dissolved because Dijon is just too far from Clermont-Ferrand. Love always to Pedro and Morox, and yeah verily to Leloup as well.
Dee Lorelei is now a solo project.
DL is working on a third album, Everybody Loves Bogart, which is loosely based on the first half of Delmer Daves's Dark Passage (1947). However, there will probably be no samples from the film itself. It is very much a concept album, but DL intends the album to stand on its own without the images, even if that means subverting the concept. DL has always enjoyed abiding by a certain number of rules when working on a project and considers the cheating involved in the end as one of the most blissful parts of the creative process. The album will be a mixture of jazz, blues, electronica, hip-hop, with vocal performances from several guests. Trust it will be dark and sexy and complex. Chances of seeing the album performed on stage are, for now, highly unlikely, although DL will probably start looking for musicians in September 2009, once the main framework of the album is laid out.
Meanwhile, much love,
from France,
the seXiest,
DL
