Hey our peoples

Inspired by the fact that many of you write to us on the comments page asking us to play in locations  we havnt been before such as Mexico, Brazil, Australia and Barnsley etc we thought we'd try this site out Ourgig. Basically you just login and make a bid for how much you would pay to see us play, if enough bids appear in a particular location we will get our people to talk to promoters in your area and sort it out. Simples as the meerkats would say.

Its quite a new site and concept so you'll be breaking new ground in audience participation with this one! You'll also find the links for the site at the bottom of the main page. 

If it does work we'll see you soon innit?

One of the best things about this job is meeting the artists you admire at gigs and festivals around the world. Since 2007 anybody who has read or heard one of our interviews over the past few years - where we are asked what music we are listening too - will know we always bang on about a US indie rock act A Place To Bury Strangers .

Anyway the weekend before last we lucked out and played back to back with them at a show in France so we took the oppotunity to get steamin with em. We managed to get them so fooked  that they agreed to record some stuff with us, actually it was probably us who ended up more drunk...

So thats what we have been working on this week, - these guys have the title of 'loudest band in New York' so you'd better duck when this bastard baby flies through!!!!!!!!

As you probably know by now we were invited to DJ on a number of dates on the Prodigy's UK Arena Tour. We played to some really great crowds in Birmingham, Sheffield, Brighton and Brixton - thanks to everyone who came down and went loony!

Also our remix of the Prodigy's 'Warriors Dance' is now in the Myspace player.

Its available to buy on two physical formats and also as a download on the 11th of May

So after 3 months of near solitary confinement we have re-emerged from a windowless subterrainian bunker that we call a studio, just for a few days while we rehearse and play our first live show of 2009.
Apparently it seems, while we have been shut off from the world, the rest of you have found a new fangled craze called twittering. Us being suckers for anything new we figured that if your the sort to be reading this blog your probably just the person to join us on the SOUTH CENTRAL TWITTER PAGE

We are proper hyped ready for our Prodigy support in Paris next weekend which is already sold out to 6000 Parisians!

Closer to home we are playing our first home town show in 6 months with a Free party at the Brighton Concorde on Saturday 21st of March where we will be performing a special 3hr show. Everyone is welcome so if you were planning a trip to the seaside this month now is the time and the time is now!

Probably what we get requests for more than anything else is 'what equipment do we use for performing live and recording' and recently we have had so many aspiring DJ's and producers asking for advice on equipment we are always really flattered but have been so busy lately and perhaps not replied sorry!!!!! To help remedy this Keith recently spilled his guts to a US music Tech magazine.
