My dog brownie just died in my arms tonight! a faithful friend for 15 years always by my side always makes me smile when I come home. Right now I'm just so sad and my heart is broken. So If you have a pet make sure you give them a big hug and appreciate the love they give you everyday!

To everyone out there that knows Josie or some say JoVal she truly needs our help and support, I hope that she does not mind me saying all of this but It's from my heart and she really means a lot to all of us. Well last week she was having real bad headaches and nothing was helping her, so she went to the hospital thinking it was migrains so they did numerous tests on her and found out that she has a mass in her brain 2.6cc. I was crying my eyes out when I heard the news It's really terrible to deal with all of this. She will be out of work for awhile until she goes to see the doctor and find out more results. Right now try your best to not call  her so she can get the rest she needs and allow the medicin to work. I guess just send messages to her myspace. I will have a card up at the bar so anyone who wants to stop by and sign it your more than happy too. I will also be placing a jar at the bar because she does not have insurance and the loss of working and all is going to make her worry so everyone I know times are tough for all of us but any spare change will help her and her family. I will keep in touch with everyone on her progress as well as letting all of you know when I will put on a show/poker run for her. Well to all who have supported the local scene and who have supported me in these tough times of the crazy neighbor. Well the charges are dropped and now we are on the road to the lawsuit against the 3 amigos you all know who I'm talking about so I do not have to go to much into detail on that. Some of this I need to keep on the down low and I hope you all understand, You see sometimes we have to save the best for last.
   The update on all the legal bull crap is this right now he seams to think he can get away with breaking all the rules but we all know that I have gone to all county and city officials pulled all the records and yes we are in the right. All bars that are in a C-3 area or in a industrial area do not have to comply with residential codes for sound not to say that we should not have common respect for others which we do, yes we have insulated the building not once but twice and that is all good at least it will save on the power bill too. The Dungeon and the Junkyard is getting a new face lift in the next few months new paint new floors courtyards updated with landscaping and more.
    My focus right now is to make others understand and respect the music scene and to not make false remarks or assume that all or any music is evil, Our lives would be boring if we did not have music I have no intentions on feeding into the evil thoughts of a man who has disturbed thoughts of humans and who dislikes the sounds of music,and society. He is the one who has a mental block and has no imagination for the arts or for a normal lifestyle I can only pitty him for all that he is missing in life. How can anyone stand up in court raise his hand and swear under oath to tell the truth, and then sit down and tell lie upon lie? The funny thing is that this man spoke about knowing me and the Dungeon for 8 years I looked at him and then said I was not here 8 years ago nor was the Dungeon I also said why would you only complain about the sound over the past few months if you claim you have lived here since 2003? All he could do is look at me confused and try to push everything under the carpet and play dumb!
   I also feel that someone has to stand up and speak for all venues all bars because right now it's about the Dungeon tomorrow it might be about another place If we all do not pull together as one then all will diminish. Why can't Orlando be like any other city just learn to live with each other respect one another I have been to many cities before bar upon bar all making money different kinds of music dance and so on, It's all about enjoying life not being a robot to others envy and rules. I will say this till I'm blue in the face why have these codes why create laws why make business owners pay higher taxes? Only for one man who thinks he can change to suit his own life his own rules! Silly isnt it? Well do not worry this lady will continue on writing continue on fighting for my rights as well as all musicians I do not back down because somebody told me to I will not have our rights taken away my final words shall be this Lady Justice take your blindfold off and see the truth! I have been around the Lockhart community for sometime now and I have seen some pretty messed up streets and have tried to better the community on several occassions. The Junkyard has made it through storms bad economy and now we are faced with a discriminating man who moved into the house on Busby Ave across from the Junkyard and the Dungeon. I have done my homework on this man and I have found out that he is purchasing many homes in the area and charging alot of rent for homes that should not even be standing no less having a family live in there for a high price.
     The Junkyard has raised much money for families in need or to better the community The Junkyard strives to make Lockhart a better community for all.
     I think that most people who live in the area should be more concerned with getting street lights put in, making the roads better and making the property value higher and not allowing somebody to come into the community to run it down by purchasing all the homes and making them rentals. When you now walk down the street in front of this mans house you have to run from his dogs, or you have to run from him if you walk to close to his yard he will sneak out from his truck and start screaming at you. I have had to deal with many nasty remarks from this man for no reason at all. Take a good hard look at his property the trash all over his backyard him burning large fires in his yard burning wires and plastic look at what this is doing to the enviroment not only that he is trying to take charge over what businesses can stay there what people can live here and what we are suppose to look like. The Junkyard has been here for 7 years and in the past 4 weeks I have noticed how the area has gone down hill, people do not want to walk down the street in fear of this nasty person. I will be having a clipboard for everyone to come and sign this the more names we gather together the better chances we will have to regain our community back. I truly feel that all of Lockhart has pride in there area and most of the businesses have been here since 1939. I feel that If you are all here first and the bar has been here for so many years, then why do we have to move out? I think he should move out  one if he does not like  people and 2 if he does not like motorcycles cars or music. I will be fighting for the rights of all. The junkyard enjoys having people come to laugh and have a good time, this man is making it a political war and for what reason who knows maybe it's a power trip he is on. Lockhart remember what I say stand up for your community stand up for your rights do not allow anyone to take away what your ancestors have worked so hard for. I can only wonder what this man will do on Easter Sunday when the Junkyard has a community Easter egg hunt when all the children are there playing and eating will he call up the police for sound that our voices are to loud or because we are dressed up like the easter bunny.... I can just see it now local easter bunnies in jail for noise lol........There should be an island for all the jerks to live on let them battle with one another like caged up animals. This man loves to fight about everything the American Flag,politics,cars,trucks,fences,kids,woman,music the list is very long. He does not even like the B.B.Q man that has his place in front of the Junkyard he is so disturbed about that he has to take pictures on a daily basis, he even takes pictures of me hmmmmmmmmm I know i'm pretty a pretty cool chick but damn! So who will be his next target I wonder so watch out neighbors he is on the war path......I will be contacting the local government on this matter come monday morning so pay attention to the newspaper and the news stations. LOCKHART STAND YOUR GROUND!!!!!

Well yes another stupid attack by a very stupid person. Well you see the bars on our block have been here for many years and we have had no problems what so ever until the man across the street moved into a commercial area.
For the past three weeks he has called the police every friday and saturday because of the music or because there are to many people at the bar. he is wasting the police time and really getting me very upset. He makes racial remarks about all the people who come to the bar he thinks that it's all ok to have trash all inside his gates he does not abide by any laws at all.
   Well lastnight was the last straw I'm going to have to get my boxing gloves and hit the courts because I will have to fight for our rights once more. Why would somebody want to move into a place zoned commercial to live, and if they hate music bars and other people then my main question to him was why?
   His response to us was if you do not do what I say we will continue on calling over and over. Talk about reverse discrimination well here we go. Several bands and several customers witnessed the slang remarks coming from this man everyone stood up to him by saying move away if you do not like society!!!!
   It's one thing if you live in a restricted area and have a home owners ect, but If this man lived like that he would not be permitted to have several trucks boats and a bunch of trash all over his property.
 I just wanted to thank everyone from lastnight that had to deal with this situation from this horrible man or to have to witness reverse discrimination just because we look different or play music. I will fill you all in when I take this jerk to court but I just thought I should let everyone know about this whole situation and by the way the police are on our side. The man truly needs to get a life and stop wasting our tax money on piss calls to every government agency just because you feel like it. He should take all this negative energy he has and input it into cleaning his trash on his property he is only making the value go down. Sorry for him that he hates bikers and music and people having a goodtime, but who is the stupid one to purchase a house across the street from 2 bars and 1/2 block from another bar....... Just another bunch of garbage the Junkyard has to remove but very strong and determined to complete this task.

Well this is the second half of my other blog, Yesterday opened up the mail and started reading a letter from Orange county this is what it said. You will have up to a thousand dollar fine per day if you do not remove the following items from your business. Flags,ribbons,banners,pennants,streamers,spinners,balloons,or any other wind operated devices.Well since the buttheads keep on calling up every official out there on my business I thought I would share this one with you, Lastnight I had everyone go around removing all the banners but when it came to taking down the American Flag from the top of the bar we all  where sad and really angry who ever thought that it was a crime to be proud to fly your flag. So the bottom line is this you live in this country our men can die for this country and now we have to pay a fine to hang the American Flag above our door, I'm serious this is so out of line it's really not funny anymore. I will be going down to the goverments office and telling them a thing or 2. The code number is 31.38.5-14(2). I truly think that the government should be more concerned about stronger violations the banners or flags maybe they should try thinking about lighting up the dark streets or making the roads better for the community but noooooooooooooooo, they have to worry about trying to make the cash on a small bar who takes pride by having the flag fly high above the door to my bar.
      Then I started looking around and saw many businesses that have flags and banners and other things around there property was just wondering if they are paying for it. The governemnt needs to realize that small business are trying everything to make money something that would catch the eye to make them come into there business, with the way the economy is down here in Florida people are desperate,small business the people are working many hours to survive we all have dark circles under our eyes and trust me it's not for nothing it's called making a living in these tough times.
     I guess I can not blame the departments in the government because they have cuts as well and they have to answer all complaints just so they have something to do. But when you focus on my bar and give me the rules to comply do not just make it for me make it for everyone what is fair is fair, But what I'm really pissed about is my Flag I feel very strong about this one you can ask me to take down everything else and I did but to ask me to take down my flag well now it's on, I will make sure that I fill all of you in on this one after I leave the office on monday....
    Thanks to all the brothers out there that support my feeling on this subject lastnight was a great rally about our freedom and our flag we might be a small little bar in a small town called Lockhart but we all have a big voice and we all need to be heard, Thanks Everyone for your support! stay tuned for the next stupid action they hit us with, maybe they will start telling us what to wear and how to speak well atleast we are keeping them on there toes lol....

Well here we go although it really has not stopped they gave me about 4 weeks of peace. The gossip the haters the no life of there own keeps on with these horrible stories. Well here is mine I have owned this bar for many years now and about 1 1/2 years ago a little bar down the back alley from us just loves to be hateful enjoys calling up every government official, I ask myself why? Well I guess it's because they are jealous or maybe it is because they are bored with there life. The complaints are all over the place from the music being to loud or that we have to many people at our place the hose thing is really weird I did have to laugh my ass of about that one guys, You should have done your homework more on that subject because that is not true at all..... I will support the local music scene no matter what and I will support local charity runs and no you will never stop me from that. It's just a damn shame that you all have such negative input if you would take that and turn it into a postive maybe the community would be a better place.So when i recieved this call today they said that the person looked up on my sight and saw that I was having a big event tonight well not tonight idiot it's tomorrow and the cause is for Tina who was just told she has cancer, so your hateful phone calls will not stop us from helping out a family who truly needs our help. When reading our posters make sure you have your glasses on and read the right dates and by the way stop wasting the time of the police department fire marshall and everyone else put freakin ear plugs in if you do not like music but a damn blindfold on if you do not like the way we all look lock yourself up in a padded room if you do not like society, or better than all that make love instead of fighting think about it peace is better than war. I should take up a collection for L411 hair color because the flippin grey hairs are coming out or maybe should take a day at the spa but of course I'm a fighter and what I truly believe in I will fight to the end I'm honored to have such good people come into my bar over the years I have had many laughs and many tears and our conversations of the people who hate us. Yes hate is a sickness and you really should take a good long hard look at yourself if there was meds out there for it you should take it.
     I truly wish there was a seat for the mayor of Lockhart I would run for that in a second just to make the community a better place will i protest hell yes one person can only take so much garbage and now watch out my big mouth will start running It's time to take the trash out of Lockhart "Clean House" so to speak, I have kept my mouth shut for a longtime but now you will see me running down the street picking up the trash on the roads making the streets look better I'm also going to allow the community to be more involved with music people should not be afraid to listen to what they want to, here is a perfect example there is a housing development right around the corner there is an older woman who gets a kick out of seeing the younger generation playing music and having a good time, it beats running the streets and getting into trouble that is what she told me. What most people do not understand is that the economy right now is so bad that people in business are going nuts some out of control but trying to put another business out only to try to gain for them is not going to work, Your not me! This is suppose to me America people should be able to listen to what they want to hear go to whatever bar they choose wear what they want to wear It's bad enough the prices of cigaretts are going up so high beer is going up housing,lights everything. But the jobs are to a zero people are loosing everything they have. My bar is not based on just selling beer and having a good time It's about truly caring for others givind out food to the people who need it trying to give jobs to people who need it, support system and strong friendships the Junkyard and the Junkyards Dungeon is not going anywhere!!!!!! The women here that serve you your beer or give you your wristbands or the women behind the scene who makes the flyers designs the web page or does security are very strong women and hand in hand we will fight for our rights I will FIGHT for the music to keep it here right here in Lockhart so if your proud to be here and love the music love what we stand for speak your mind!!!!! DO NOT PARK DOWN THE STREET GUYS! YOU KNOW THEY WILL TOW YOU..... CIAO

Well another friend of mine has passed away this past tuesday night he was leaving to go home and the fog was so bad he could not see the car in front of him....I hated when I recieved the call that Kieth was gone. They always say it comes in 3's Well It is truly a shame Kieth was one of the coolest man ever always smiling always protecting his friends always there holding out his hand when you needed it.

I will truly miss him and his funny way he talked to me...To all my friends who have touched my heart I will miss you I will love you forever May God Bless you all and your family in these tough times.

   Kieth to you dear friend we are taking care of your brother right now and your friends are all here for you to celebrate your life and how you truly touched all of us xxooo   The last dance remember it all so well...  Nika

Well this day is a real bad day for me 2 phone calls in one day to tell me that Ron passed away and Jake passed away,

  I have known Jake for many years and just spoke with him about 4 weeks ago I should have known that something was wrong because he would always call me just to say hello, All the people at the Junkyard knew Jake he always came by and he loved to cook out for all the people, His girlfriend called and said that he has been sick with some heart problems and passed on thanksgiving Day in peace she said that he ate and said he was going to take a nap when she went to wake him he was gone what a shame for such a young guy and I'm truly sad for the loss of my friend Jake...:(

The next sad news is Ron everyone enjoyed having him come to the bar every morning he would be there to greet the bartender and help clean up the bar we spent many hours talking and sharing good times, It was a shock to me and to Pablo to hear this heartbreaking news, You see Ron had no choice but to move far away because he could not make it here in Orlando since he lost his job doing drywall. We would take him home feed him and make sure he was alright but since he moved i have not seen him for about a month, Another phone call saying to me that Ron was found in his apartment in lake city sleeping in his bed and he passed... I have cried my eyes out all night about poor Ron I begged him not to go so far away my memories of this man will stay close to my heart always I remember one night taking him home in my little car it took me about 20 minutes to fit him in there because he was so tall we drove and had many laughs I do remember pulling up to a drive in because he wanted ice cream funny times ice cream all over the place in the car... To my dear friend I will miss you so much my heart is so sad, Jake is being taken care of but poor Ron has nobody to help him get to his resting place, So for everyone who is reading this letter please help me out I'm going to take care of him I will do a dinner and have a huge party to raise money for him to have eternal peace... Please Please help me I will have a jar at the bar I know times are tough for everyone but any loose change will help the cause. Thanks so much Nika and Pablo
