Category: Blogging
Ahh, So I have not Blogged in quite some time. While I would love to say that I have been Uber-busy at some posh new job flying, Truth is very little exciting as happened in the last several months. Same job, same craziness at home, and life continues to float on by..
The most exciting news I have is that on October 24th, I will officially be a homeowner(YIPE!!!)! After much talks and discussion, we decided that now was the proper time to purchase the house from Bethie's dad, and got a decent mortgage rate locked in right before the major crash in the loan markets. We still have a lot of work to do in the house, as I am still working on the same damn bathroom I was remodeling this time last year!. At least there is drywall/some mud up now. It's just a matter of finding time to finish it.
I have to say that there hasn't been too much of interest at work, other than seeing Celine Dion, who is quite a generous tipper. Her bodyguard gave both pepke and I each $100!!!. Her pilots of her Global Express told us that she was running late getting here because she was sitting in her auto talking to a 16-year old girl who was taking her dying breaths from Leukemia. While I am not a fan of her music, it was nice to see someone like that take the time to make a complete stranger feel so happy at the end of their life.
On the job front, I may have a prospect for at least a part-time flying gig, but I am waiting for an aircraft(probably a Beech Baron) to be rebuilt from the ground up before I will hear anything. I had a little run-in with a new medical examiner when I went to get my aviation physical renewed, which really sucked. He was freaked out by the large surgical scar on my back(which I can now say is 11" long!), and refused to issue my medical certificate until I came up with some Unobtainium- The operative report from the surgery I had as a newborn 26 years ago!!!. After two weeks and a call to the FAA, the Doctor has finally decided to issue it to me; Now I just gotta drive out to Parma to go get it.
So, that's it - Finito! a (very) short summary of the last several months. If ya want any more info, gimme a call or drop me an e-mail.

Current mood: contemplative
Ah, well I guess that I truly don't stick anything in here very often, not that I expect anyone to read when I do :)
So 2007 finally came to a close.. A most busy year for me, with much more busy-ness to come in `08. After sinking nearly $10K in the house next year, we have made some progress... new fence, one finished bathroom and the majority of materials for the other, new windows, a water softener and new well tank/water filter, and of course a new foundation for our other bathroom. '08's projects are to include finishing the master bathroom and the office, new gutters, at least insulating/wallboarding the upstairs, and putting shutters up around the new windows. Oh, and of course finally purchasing the house from my father-in-law (eep!).
As for work, 2007 saw me finally get my commercial Multi-engine license in July and do no more flying the rest of the year. Million Air Cleveland changed hands and is now Encore FBO, possibly soon to be a Landmark FBO if the deal for Encore to buy Landmark goes through.
Things I plan to do in `08:
1. Go see my friends more often. While I am a little irritated at my friends from school never coming out to see me, I have no excuses for not seeing my old friends from school/home. I'm sorry I havn't stopped by guys; I'm gonna try to correct that this year.
2. Go get my Flight Instructor rating so I can actually do something with this stagnant flying career.
3. Don't know what else.. I'm sure I'll think of something.

Current mood: melancholy
As you could probably tell from my default picture, I went deer hunting with my car last night. The sad part is I was not taking my usual route home when it happened... Tomorrow morning I get to see the claims adjuster and find out how bad it really is.. Already got two estimates and it's about three time's my deductable's worth in damage.
Anybody wanna guess what song I'm listening to from this album?

Ugh... The last few weeks have been a real pain in the A$$ at work with the basketball conference finals, and then the big finals. At one point on Tuesday night we had over 30 aircraft on the field that we were taking care of. While the overtime is nice, tonight will be the first time in over a week that I make it home before 2 A.M. :P
As for those stars in attendance at the game, the only ones I got to see were Peyton Manning(Indy Colts football), Tom Brady(I'm told he's the QB for the New England Patriots) and his girlfriend, Giselle, the Vic. Secrets model. It was kind of hard not to notice them, as Tom and Giselle sat and made out in front of the aircraft for several minutes before they left. Gotta say that she is probably one of the skinniest people I have ever seen. Looking at her makes you just want to feed the poor girl a cheeseburger or something :P

Well, for those that don't know, Bethie and I are starting to renevate our house finally... This past week we got our foundation replaced underneath the bathroom, as it was shifting due to the immense shoddiness of the previous houseowner back in the 1950's or so. Took them only three days and the work doesn't look too bad, considering they had to do it all by hand due to the location of our septic tank/leach bed. We have already purchased all the lighting for the new b-room and can't wait to start.
And for today's star sighting, Jimmy kimmel and his possie left from my facility tonight. Made them laugh when they came in to use the restroom because I still had the lighted wands in hand when I pointed down the hall with them. Their words: "Sweet! I've never been directed by those before! cool!"(yes, folks, Jimmy Kimmel is officially easy to amuse).

Current mood: amused
Ah, so Holly Barry came into the airport tonight to see the premier of her new movie in her hometown of Cleveland. All I could think about when I saw her was an old, hilarious flash video at Newgrounds.com called "Mike B on the Prowl". If you havn't seen this video, I suggest it, as it is quite amusing guy humor.
On a side note, Vince Mc Mahon and his crew of the WWE came in Monday night with one of the most hottest chicks I've ever seen in person! I think her name was Milina.. Got a pic of their sweet aircraft that I may post if I remember to take it off of my phone.

Aren't taxes absolutely, positivly splendiferous? We decided to have our taxes done by a professional this year as opposed to me doing them like usual. We figured it might make a major difference on what we could get back. WRONG! It was quite the opposite actually. Since 2006 was the first time I've worked 40 hours/week for a full year, it was a painful realization that if it weren't for my ghastly student loans, we would have damn near had to pay! It would have been much better if we actually owned our house instead of just paid the bills.. coulda taken off several hundred more dollars.
On a brighter note, the Andover Dairy Queen has re-opened!!! Such on odd thing to be excited about, but I just love Karen's(the owner)' mother's chili sauce. Yummy Yummy in my fatass tummy!

Current mood: chipper
Well well, it's been a pretty effing busy few months for me since I put anything in here.. Since the last thing in here I've:
1. Gotten married
2. Seen my brother finally get a good job with Progressive insurance(congrats to him).
3. Gotten tipped well by Bernie Kozar
4. Gotten a raise at work(yay!)
Well, I've been (officially)married almost three months already.. Honeymoon was pretty cool other than the unclean cabin on the cruise(Underwear in the bed NASTY! Won't ever go on Carnival Cruises again) and our lost luggage/delayed flight on the way home. Being married sure doesn't feel any different other than the big P.I.T.A. with getting all of Bethie's legal stuff changed over. My car insurance has plummeted to an all-time low for me; It is now less with the both of our full-coverage new vehicles than my insurance was by itself. We're also looking forward to a substantial tax return check to start remodeling the house a little bit and getting me my next flight rating.
Heat has finally arrived in our house, along with the $450 every six weeks to fill up the propane tank(OUCH!)! We were without for over two months while we ripped out the old ductwork and made everything brand spanking new. We'll cut that bill substantially when we get our water softener, well tank, and our tankless water heater going. less propane=more moolah for us.
Work has changed very little other than it being incredably slow for the holidays. I spent my first christmas working, but for double-time and a half I couldn't complain too much; Bethie came with me and made us dinner. I also got a Ben Franklin from Bernie Kozar as a tip.. Happy Times! Today on New Years Day I came into work and my supervisor was here to give me my yearly evaluation.. I got a raise(SWEETNESS!)
That's the short rundown on what's been going on these past three months for me. Want to know more? E-mail is my friend.

Current mood: bored
So I've got this new guy at work named Paul that will be working with me three out of my five days. He seems like one of those 35-year old, lives in mamma's basement scarey people. While he is VERY enthusiastic about working around planes, he really doesn't have any practical experience with them. He likes to talk like he knows what he's doing when he doesn't, and it is driving me absolutely freakin' nuts!!!
Also, even though I'm sure she won't ever get to read this, CONGRATULATIONS to the former Ms. Katie Kessing on getting married last weekend!!! Wish a certain someone would have told me sooner so I could have attended
