Friends!
Due to a family emergency we won't be able to make the show this Thursday 3rd Dec at The Troubadour in Brisbane. Taking our place will the wonderful The Hungry Kids of Hungry. Leader Cheetah will still be going full steam ahead so it will be a heaps fun show anyway.
Fridays show will go ahead as normal and we will be arranging refunds for those who no longer want to party on Thursday. More details on that one soon.
We're really sorry to have to do this and we hope to make up for it by playing each song twice on Friday.
Best,
Cloud Control

The designated photographer malfunctioned whilst in Radelaide, and this is pretty much the only photo we have. Notice the carefully (and artistically) arranged gourmet platter of lollies.
If you want to listen to the interview, click on this hyperlink
Lollies aside, apparently breaking and entering is our thing these days. Al and Jez, hooligans that they are, decided that being in a band isn't already rock'n'roll enough, and tried to force their way into an unsuspecting adelaidean home. They say they got the address wrong, but I know the truth.
Another interesting truth: Leader Cheetah are probably the nicest people in Adelaide. Again, they would like you to think they're all tough and punk and nails, but they're really a bunch of softies. How else do you explain Dan C buying us boxes of frostie fruits, mixing us 'special' fruit and lemonade cocktails and cranking 'Return of the Jedi' (on VHS with the original Jabba of course). You can't.
The shows themselves were really really fun. 20th century graduates are a talented bunch o' kids with some killer tunes, so it was a pleasure to play with them.
And the less gushing about LC the better, though I will say go watch this:
Thanks so much to everyone who came- especially the underagers. We only just found out that you're all about to sit your HSC, so nice one for making it out to party with the cool kids.
Next stop, Wollongong.

So we lied about updating the blog all the time during recording. SORRY.
This is because we have been very busy recording and more importantly making FILM CLIPS??!!!
Enough words, words are BORING. Instead I will give you some snaps I took on the day of shooting our FILM CLIP. A pity I didn't get any snaps of the babes who were there. And I kid you not, there were BABES. The kinds of BABES you write in capital letters. And they were wearing feathers. And not much else.
Thank you for reading, Cloud Control.

Heidi ate all the cakes but pretended not to haeve eaten all the cakes. Classic Heidi.

Eveyone loves a first time. First coffee, first beer. Actually, those are probably the two worst first times...hmm, argument fail. Anyway, first times CAN be enjoyable, but they can also be scary.
Today, we start filming our first feature length flim! nah, jokes. We are, however, starting to recording our debut album today. w00t. Wish us luck, resilient ears and patience , we'll need it.
Because we love writing these blogs so much, you'll probably be getting fairly regular recording updates, complete with photographic evidence- aren't you a lucky bunch.
If anyone would like to donate a coffee machine to us, or even lend it to us while we record, you will get a credit in the album. seriously. hahahahahahaha. oK, so maybe, I haven't talked to the other dudes about that yet, but i'm sure we could make it happen.
Anyway, gotta go make some loud noises into little black cylinders.

It was short but sweet, like a walk in the park with the wind and the sun and the happy faces of toffee apple children. We caught a plane, a big heavy one, across the seas. Being his first time, Al had his grubby nose plastered up against the windows most of the time, Oohing and Aahing and gurgling with glee. We just sighed with the nonchalance of the weary, seasoned traveler and let him have his fun. The shows were loud, and in many cases, haphazard. Strings broke, leads snapped, kick pedals disintegrated but our wills remained unbroken. Yesiree, we played our little hearts out for the kind folk of the motherland, and for the most part their cheers resounded long after the last chord had been struck. We ate chips on the pebbly beach of Brighton, and turned our backs to the wind. We strolled through mazes of lanes, poking our noses into shops and munching on bagels. We watched bands strut their stuff and puff out their chests, posturing late into the night all across town. Some were good, some were great and many were amazing. We drank cider, both apple and pear, and left the warm, sickly pints of ale for the locals. I had been told that In London there are only two eternal truths: 1, the food is horrid, and 2, the weather is horrid. While the food was indeed stodgy and limp, London offered many temperate days, and only slightly chilly nights. Making the most of this, we had culture to catch up on. We raided the museums, plundered the galleries and frolicked in the parks, rode bikes against the traffic and picnic'd most heartily. Then we hopped back on a plane and watched the lights of London recede, content and ready. Soon we will do it all again, but until then, it's good to be home. x Cloudies

- "J to the muthaf**kin P" is a straight up gangsta - Fremantel, or Fremo to the initiated, is a beautiful place, and the Little Creatures brewery is the best pub in Australia - It is impossible to say ‘brewery’ without sounding like your just came out of a 5 hour tasting tour in one- Not only can the boys in JP’s band each play about 39 million instruments, they’re all also nicer than your grandparents- Coopers Sparkling ale (red) is infinitely smoother than coopers Pale (green), but much harder to get on the rider. Except in Radelaide. Oh, and it is dangerous.- Don’t ever play hearts with Jeremy. If you think you can trust him, think again. He will betray you.- Handball is a great way to pass the time after soundcheck- Left 4 Dead is AWESOME - Josh pyke is a pretty small dude. Seriously. But the beard makes up for it- Pelegrinis in melb makes the best Lasagna. Al can’t eat it- Joshs’ tour manager Dave kicked us off the tour about 12,499 times- But he is a big softie, so he always let us back on - There is nothing better than playing to a full house. Even if they aren’t there to see you.- People like to steal our merch. If you see anyone selling our t-shirts on ebay, please let us know and we will have our revenge- You don’t have to do the washing up in serviced apartments- Its like you’re back at home where you make a mess and your mum does the washing. Deal. - Breakfast is always better on a beach. - Bathroom acoustics are ideal for pre-gig psych up- A-fresh rocks da party. The karaoke party - And finally, if you ever want to go on a really, really, really fun tour, just start a band and hit the road with Jp and his merry men. Seriously, fun for the whole family. If you want to see a more thorough pictorial explanation of the tour, click on the following:CLICK THIS HYPERLINKAlso, to everyone who came up and said hi, bought our gear, smiled, sang along, went ballistic for no apparent reason or generally just gave us good vibes, we really appreciate it. You made the tour just that little bit special.
Till next time, lots of love from the Cloudies. xo
