The end of year sampler, for most labels this is a package cobbled together of tracks that weren’t really strong enough to get a release on their own, the nearly there but not quite of 2009, but not for Rising Music, Its all about the future stars and new faces of 2010.

Kicking off the package we have the head honcho Mr. Chris Lake with Release, which sports a killer remix from Taurus & Vaggeli, modulating synths and tough drums pushes this well into the main room. We then have the anthemic, Spanish guitar lead One Day from Rising resident Lys and new boy Omar B. The package stays on the hands in the air route with Carl Louis & Martin Danielle’s The Message, piano house for 2010. Sour Grapes return to Rising with We Are, a wobbling bassline monster which is sure to send shock waves through any dancefloor. Finally, to round off the package, is the ethno horn inspired Cobra by R3hab.

Rising Music’s statement of intent for 2010 this most certainly is.

The latest Rising Music podcast has hit you digital libraries! To subscribe click here

Episode 004 is by Tom Neville, following his first outing on the Rising Music label with some Nu Disco flavoured house in the form of "Run In Reverse".

Tom's produced a banging 60 minutes of uplifting house beats for you to get stuck into and this is just a taste of what's to come in the Rising Music Sampler, a 6 track mini album, available from 7th December on Beatport.

After three months of the RM Podcast sitting in iTunes' "New and Notable" spot you should watch this space for more podcasts from some of the sickest house DJ's around...

Tom Neville sees his first outing on Rising Music with some Nu Disco flavoured House in the form of Run In Reverse. The Original Mix is a Nu Disco inspired House track that sees Tom fusing classic themes with modern production techniques. Vintage drum machines sounds are juxtaposed next to contemporary side chained pads, while the bass line is set firmly to triplets, as all good bass lines should be. Chris Lake and Lys' remix moves the track into peak time territory, keeping the original bassline while adding tougher drums, grooving synth stabs and some bit crushing for good measure. Classic disco with a modern twist, Mr Moroder would be proud.

Hi everyone!

So once again voting is almost over for this year's DJ Mag Top 100....

It's been a busy year for Chris and the Rising Music team; lots of touring, some huge successes with 'Only One' and 'If You Knew' feat the gorgeous Nastala, and just last week we launched the first Rising Music Podcast which made iTunes 'New & Notable' for a whole week!

On the 9th October we're celebrating our first 'Rising Nights' party as support to Chris, Michael Woods and the legendary Deadmau5 at Manchester's Warehouse Project. I'd say get yourself down, but apparently it's already sold out :) Happy days! Keep your ears to the ground though - we're giving away a few VIP tickets in the next few days!

If you are a fan of Chris Lake and his Rising Music artists; Lys, Rene Amesz, Sour Grapes etc etc.... now is the time to get your last minute votes in.

Here's the link for one final time: http://top100djs.djmag.com

Thanks for the support!

Seb @ Rising Music :)

Once again Mr Lake finds himself packing his bags for a series of gigs across the beautiful South American country, Brazil. The only difference from previous trips to the place he call's his future home, is this time he's wrapped up his favourite little box which the lovely peeps over at Awdio supplied him with back at WMC 2009. For those who can't remember is first experiences during the last North American tour, this magical little piece of kit will allow Chris to stream his sets live across the internet. All you need to do is head to www.awdio.com and click 'events'. From there you can easily see what's on and what's scheduled. Last week we had a barbq at my pad and started rather early... we managed to tune into HOME in Sydney, Australia and listen to more six hours of undisturbed house-music... this shit is genius! For Chris it all kicks off tomorrow (Aug 14th) around 2am Rio time.... followed by sets from Club Anzu, Mokai, Nasala and Club Giv. So ladies and gents, there's no listen again functions... this is straight up time and place. If you miss it, it's gone!

You'll also be able to follow his movements on twitter and hopefully we'll be able to get some decent video footage up too!

Just in case you're not familiar with the current Chris Lake sound, check out this recent mix he's done... although in Brazil, he swears the rhythm is different... so lets just see what he comes up with!

Chris Lake and Lys return to Rising Music after their smash “Violins” with the follow up “La Tromba”

The original is an epic track with a lead that will stimulate a dance floor, add to it the groovy percussion that runs throughout and it is easy to see why this track has been doing the damage on some of the world's coolest dancefloors.

Lys’s remix has grooves interwoven skilfully throughout. The percussion in this track is brought to the forefront by Lys whilst still retaining the big room values of the original.

The Sour Grapes ‘Balboa’ remix cranks it up to proper heads down big room territory.

Rene Amesz is back with a bang with this excellent single on Rising Music. Rene is at his best on this sleazy, low down dirty slab of tech house. His characteristic beats slide along underneath a filthy bassline and mesmerizing vocal loop. Plenty of soaring synths keep this track building and building the whole way through.

An essential track for every main room from London to Sydney. If you like the sound of it you can pick it up legally from here.
