Below is the official press release:

New York , NY to Philadelphia, PA- The iStandard Producer Showcase (www.istandardproducers.com) has become NYC and Philadelphia's premier live monthly event that allows unsigned hip-hop/R&B producers to present their music in front of an industry panel and a packed live audience.

The event is a producer competition where 10-12 producers play five 1-minute snippets of their tracks, and are judged on a scale of 1-10 by an industry judge panel on the basis of originality, marketability, usage of elements, fidelity, and overall star potential. After each producer plays their tracks, they are given verbal feedback and constructive criticism immediately following the music. At the end, the scores are tallied and the highest score wins that event.

Winners receive a multitude of items from our sponsors, including software from Ableton Live 6, a logo package by Sproutin' Up Designs (Roc-A-Fella, Bad Boy, G-Unit), drum sounds from Bangin' Beats, an interview on Beat Talk and Who?Mag DVD Magazine, a slot on www.istandardproducers.com , and many other perks that allow producers to take their career to the next level.

Judges confirmed for the March 5th show are Miss Michelle (Beanie Sigel's manager), Amadeus (platinum producer for 50 Cent, Cam'ron, & more), Jimmi Kendrixx (Platinum Producer for Jay-Z, Ashanti, & more), and more to be announced. This event will spotlight some of the Philadelphia area's hottest up-and-coming producers, and will also feature performances by popular Philly Hip-Hop acts Reef The Lost Cause, James Cadgnie and 2ew Gunn Ciz.

What's good folks:

Today's a great day for Clean Guns.  We've received another stellar write-up from another outstanding blog called Nerd Litter.  Don't let the name fool you--our boy Danny has been running the excellent MP3 blog site that's full of new, dope music and  honestly intense writing.  Click HERE to check it out and be sure to make Nerd Litter one of your favorite sites (along with Passion of the Weiss, 33jones.com and Single of the Day, but you already knew that).

In other Clean Guns news, the highly anticipated mixtape Living in Harmony is in the last stages of mixing and mastering and well be DEFINITELY dropping in February.  If you're too excited to wait, go to BEAT GARDEN GOODS and get the official Living in Harmony t-shirt and/or long-sleeve t-shirt available right now.

Finally, we still want to hear YOUR feedback on the debut album Sometimes There is Trouble.  You can either vote for your favorite song right on our MySpace page, go to our CD Baby page and drop us a line or search CLEAN GUNS on iTunes (I'm too lazy to post that link) and rate the album 1-4 stars.

This album was the first step for Clean Guns and Beat Garden and we are grateful to you for listening and supporting us.

PEACE!

As we said towards the end of '06, we just don't stop (no Diddy).

You can listen to a new beat from Crooked Soul's Zilla Rocca called "It's Still Good."  This record seems to be the new stripper anthem for '07.  That's what our stripper friends say at least.

This track will find it's way on an EP Zilla is producing for MOG (Mutation of Greatness) aka Big Sexxx of the Rowdee Black Giants.  The EP will (maybe) be a free download of 6-8 tracks inspired by the ladies, comprised only of amazing R&B tracks (Jill Scott, Teddy Pendergrass, The Commodores and more) re-worked and chopped up by Zilla with vocals by Big Sexxx.

Ladies, you're welcome.

Finally, we sent out a bulletin yesterday for Beat Garden Goods with a messed up link.  Click HERE to check out the official online merchandise of Clean Guns and Beat Garden Ent.  The white t-shirt with the Clean Guns album cover is only $11!!! Then's still a ten dollar bill and 4 quarters.  Get one.

PEACE!

We just don't stop doing it!

Today the Clean Guns song "Beautiful You" is being featured at the website Single of the Day.  Click on the link to check it out!  It's great to know that people who normally don't get down on hip hop can listen and appreciate a song off of Sometimes There is Trouble.

But wait...there's more.

Due to the increasing demands from fans and friends, we here at Beat Garden have set up our first online merchandise shop at Cafe Press.com

You can click HERE to get Clean Guns & Beat Garden items, from t-shirts to mugs to tote bags to hoodies to tastefully done thongs!  Remember that all the merchandise is customized, therefore the prices are a bit inflated.  Still, we wanted to satisfy YOU because you've been asking us where to cop Beat Garden apparrell for the longest time!   So go to Cafe Press, check out the gear and pick up something to support Clean Guns and the Beat Garden family.

And...we keep reminding you but we still would love to get your support for Clean Guns at Rap Mullet for their Come Up section for the month of December.  All you have to do is email vote@rapmullet.com and say "I want to vote for Clean Guns for the December Come Up!"  That's it!

FINALLY, if you own, love or listen to Clean Guns' Sometimes There is Trouble, stop by our CD Baby page and leave some feedback so new fans can get an idea of the album.

THANKS AND ENJOY THE HOLIDAYS!

We keep bringing it until the very last day of the year!

One day after Crooked Soul's own Zilla Rocca won Spine Magazine's Nas Remix contest, our fellow Beat Garden compadres Clean Guns is the featured artist at www.33jones.com, a very dope hip hop site updated daily with news, MP3's and commentary.  It is already listed on the left side of their page under the link section.  Today, Clean Guns is featured with some insight about the group, plus some downloadable goodies via MP3.

CHECK IT OUT Y'ALL!!!!

We are finishing 2006 on a high note, y'all!

Zilla Rocca, MC/Producer of the beloved Clean Guns and Crooked Soul, was 1 of 3 winners for Spine Magazine's Nas Remix Contest with his remix of "Hope" from Nas' new album Hip Hop is Dead.

You can listen to it HERE!  Scroll on the left hand side under "Daily News" to December 18th under the heading "The Winner Is."  Zilla's remix is 3rd on that entry.

More to come in '07 y'all.  Thanks for your continued support of Zilla Rocca, Clean Guns, Crooked Soul & the entire Beat Garden family!!!

Hey everyone:

First, thanks for coming out to Fluid last night to support the Beat Garden Conquistadors (ASK?, Clean Guns, Prof. Anarchy & So-S@Y).  Even though our set was cut short, we rocked it viciously for y'all.

Ok--this is where we need YOUR HELP!

Our good friends at RapMullet.com are spotlighting Clean Guns right now in their Come Up section for unsigned hip hop acts.  In order for Clean Guns to get major shine, WE NEED YOUR VOTE!

How do you vote?  It's incredibly simple.

All you have to do is send an email to vote@rapmullet.com and type in "CLEAN GUNS for the COME UP"

That's it!  We told you it was easy.

This has been a big year for Clean Guns and Beat Garden, so please show us some love!  We couldn't do this without you!
