Man, I bet you need a little fun before that... Never fear! Umlaut's got a way for you to enjoy yourself while supporting a great cause!

Every year Umlaut holds a fundraiser for the Child's Play Charity. This wonderful organization provides video games and toys to children's hospitals around the globe.

Not only are you doing a service to your community, but you're gonna have a blast! Two of Umlaut's best DJs, AudioRapture and Balfour, will make damn sure of it.

As always, it's just five bucks, though you can feel free to donate more. Get your holiday week started off right with us!

Thanksgiving is almost here, and Umlaut is here to prep you:

Gonna eat a lot Thursday?  Richmond's DJ Skynet and Umlaut's own DJ AudioRapture will keep you dancing all night Tuesday so you'll feel less guilty when the gluttony begins.

Gotta deal with a crazy family?  Come hang out with your friends.  We'll make sure you're good and relaxed when the holiday begins.  And if that's not enough, I'm sure our bartender can help too...

All the usual details apply: $5, but if you bring 2 paying people who have never been to Umlaut before, YOU GET IN FREE!  So invite your friends via MySpace, and let's be thankful for this awesome night!

Probably the biggest complaint about the state of Goth Clubs today is that lack of goth in the clubs. Well, if you've ever complained about clubs not being what they used to be, May 12 is your night! DJ Patrick Allen of WNRN's Subculture Shock and DJ Balfour will fire up the wayback machine and spin four hours of 80s and 90s Goth/Industrial! So if you miss the good old days of Goth Clubs, show up Tuesday! This is a trial run, and if it works, Umlaut may throw these type of events more often. It's all up to you.

And of course, bring two people who've never been to Umlaut and you get in free! Plus, since Umlaut is twice a month now, remember to come out on the 26th for the current era of Goth, Industrial, and EBM with DJ AudioRapture!

As you may or may not know, Umlaut shows movies on a giant screen by the dancefloor for atmosphere. Being that Umlaut will be officially ringing in Halloween this year by starting off at 10pm on October 30 and going until 2am October 31, we thought it appropriate to show some damn scary movies. But which ones to show?

This is where you come in. Suggest a scary movie here or email (djsolieri AT clubumlaut DOT org) with the subject "Halloween Umlaut", and you could get into Umlaut for free on the 30th! Contest ends Monday Morning, October 27th (to give us time to get the movies) at 8am and two winners will be announced on Tuesday along with their suggestions! Give it a shot and help make this the most frighteningly fun Umlaut Halloween ever!
