I have posted a new piece of music, as you may or may not have noticed. I recorded 4 tracks for a new release called Alchemia Stellar. It is an ambient album influenced by the music of William Basinski and the poetic scientific writings of Carl Sagan. You can hear the first track, Virgo, on my myspace page. There is another track called The Truth Isn't Always Pleasant, Daisy on the Dusty Trails page here -
http://www.myspace.com/dustytrailsltd
and you can download the full album here -

58 minutes of cosmic droning ambience for your aural delight.

I guess it's about time I 'blogged again. I'm home for the holidays. Been living at school in TO. I've been spending most of my free time working on my script Moonflower Garden. I just finished the third draft. I won't get into plot details, but you can get a good sense of what it's about if you listen to my song of the same title, which was directly inspired by the story and it's characters. So with that finished, I can begin/continue other projects in the new year. Moonflower Garden is great but now I want to write films that may actually have a chance of being made.
I have a system when I write. I gather inspiration from music, film, and literature, as much as possible. I listen to music to help bring me into and visualize the world that I'm creating. So whilst writing MG I listened to ALOT of very dark, atmospheric, and emotional (but not emo), frightening, depressing and anti-social music. It worked for me, but it also had a tendancy to completely drain me emotionally. So I'm really happy that it's finished (for now), just in time for the new year, making way for new beginnings. The projects that I'll be focusing on next are far more light-hearted and I'm hoping they will make me a little more light-hearted<3
...To be continued.

I've posted a re-recording of "Moonflower Garden." I've also posted a brand new song "White Star," which is still in the development stage. I've got a couple more new songs in the works too. Soon I will have a decent collection of good quality recordings that I can put on a cd and call an album.

Current mood: chipper
This myspace thing is pretty neat. I hope you like the music I've put on it. I've got a full album now, well it's more like a demo I guess. I am planning to have a party in May, around the time of my birthday, at which I will get up on the table so my friends can sing to me. I will dance awkwardly as they sing, and then I will settle down to perform selected songs from my repertoire. Have a beautiful day. Don't spend too much time indoors.
