Ponytail

KSPC, Club Underground, and Echo are excited to present Ponytail at the echo on Friday, May 15th!!!

Ponytail is a four-piece art rock band hailing from Baltimore, which the likes of similarly eccentric Dan Deacon and Ecstatic Sunshine call their home. Noisy battling guitars, Molly Siegel’s wailing/chanting/ululating, and the band’s overall rambunctious intensity will get you all riled up before bed… Their last album Icecream Spiritual has earned them comparisons to Deerhoof, OOIOO, and Boredoms. Listen to Ponytail on myspace. Club Underground DJs and IDM star Cex will open.
8PM/all ages.
The echo is located at 1822 W. Sunset Blvd. Los Angeles, CA 90026 in downtown Echo Park.

Come visit KSPC staff and DJs at our table during the show!!!!

Tune into KSPC all this week for on-air ticket giveaways!

KSPC 88.7FM Claremont + Rhino Records present Claire Cronin in a free live in-store performance at Rhino Records in the Claremont Village on Sunday, April 26th at 1PM!

"Claire Cronin is the love I've been waiting for all my life - yet on some other remote universe. I can see her walking the busy yet abandoned streets of Los Angeles, floating in her own world of magic, art and beauty. She knows pain and sadness, and when she sings or paints it you share it too, but are also somehow comforted..."
(via http://laughingevergreens.blogspot.com/)

"Armed with an acoustic guitar and some beautifully poignant stories, Claire Cronin is a great example of how art is all-encompassing."
