Just found this wonderful song on a compilation while searching for a band "The Whip" which where mentioned in the INTRO mag...acutally...THE WHIP 's: this is boring....but Modernaire really caught me.... Love how she sings, good beats... even its synthy-music..it has something..
Also the lyrics are quite nice, she was in a casino in monte carlo, with the boy and he died in her arms, now she has the cash and is in a rush...hahaha
LOVE IT

Acutally, I was not into the new Maximo Park Album at all.... I liked "Apply some Pressure" (from the last album) somehow, but i couldn't get into "Our Earthly Pleasures". The voice of the singer was making me trouble. But now...I've seen them live yesterday in Berlin at Lido and it was really cool (also the audience was amazingly enthusiastic). The singer (Paul Smith) reminds me a bit bout Fergeal Sharkey, frontman of the the pretty cool PunkRockBand "The Undertones". Love him or hate him. The band itself is pretty good and tight, real "mucker" musicians - which brings me to the Klaxons live:
Klaxons are def. not "Mucker".... They are here and now and fun for 1 summer, they will never become the status of Sonic Youth's Shoegazer-Style Image.
But its fun watching the crowd with the funny neon stuff and going wild to the very rough and often wrong notes of the band.

Result: Listen to the Klaxons Album and Remixes (try to avoid the live - show..if you are into music only) and go and see the Maximo Park live.

Will head up to America: (28th april - 13th may)

After this, I will stay a view days in the headquarter of my current work, leaving to San Francisco at the 2nd of May. Look forward to meet there Kid Kamaleon and DJ Ripley. After 1 week there i take the chance to say "HI" to mister JIM AVIGNON (=Neoangin who moved blitzschnell to New York) he will do "Berlin-Party" in New York, the night I arrive and he asked me to bring some songs with german lyrics..... As I will have my little book with me, I already start to fill it up with German Songs.....(very funny thing..ha?) Already digitalised my Vinyl of ZSK (one of the first munich punk bands: Schlagt die Bxxllen...haut sie...blablablabla....) If you are around, lets meet!....
