Eleanor has been very busy lately and Hot Press Magazine has summed her activity up in an article posted today.

Eleanor McEvoy has moved up to number 26 in the Polski Radio3 Chart in Poland with her single ‘Take A Little Look’.
The song, a collaboration with the Polish acapella band Banana Boat, is in its sixth week on the influential chart. McEvoy has also teamed up with broadcaster George Hook for a version of ‘Is That Love’ on Hook’s album of duets in aid of Comber Charity. The song was written specially for the album by McEvoy and Paul Brady.

Meanwhile McEvoy’s song ‘Something so Wonderful,’ from her album Yola, appears on the new album Doing Their Thing by The Dublin Gospel Choir.

Exciting news! Eleanor's new album, Singled Out, will be available on September 28th. The fifteen-track album begins with the powerful Oh Uganda  which is now getting considerable airplay on RTE. It also includes the radio hits Days Roll By, Non Smoking Single Female and Old, New, Borrowed and Blue. The songs are all by Eleanor, apart from two, (a stunning take on Marvin Gaye’s Mercy, Mercy Me’ and her female twist to the timeless Rodney Crowell classic Shame on the Moon). A bonus video clip of Wrong So Wrong completes the collection.

 Oh Uganda
is a brand new track and is released as a new single. All other tracks are new mixes or new masters of the songs taken from the albums Yola, Early Hours, Out There and Love Must Be Tough, and to accompany these tracks, the original artwork for each track is featured in the booklet.

Singled Out can be ordered at Amazon UK.

A few months ago Eleanor traveled to Krakow, Poland to re-recorded her song Little Look  (from OUT  THERE MOSACD303). The recording was made with famed Polish a cappella group Banana Boat.

Little Look has made it to the most prestigious playlist of Poland, Lista Przebojów Programu Trzeciego (the Polish Radio Three). For the past thirty years Radio Three has been the most influential musical radio station in Poland employing the most eminent music presenters in the country and thus effectively shaping the musical tastes of 38 million Poles. Little Look has been played on Radio Three for the past seven days, sometimes a few times a day, and has been receiving a very warm critical welcome.  Polish Radio Three has created a website for Little Look.

A wonderful video of the song was also recorded and can be viewed on YouTube.
