Obama is not doing enough?
I must be in an alternate universe. Health care reform was Obama’s
initiative. He came out, in public, explaining what reform would do to
the health care system. He even defended false rumors by the far right.
Some of the analysts, commentators, pundits, etc, even asked if Obama
was overexposed. These people are acting as if Obama has been hiding
under a rock. He introduced health care reform. It’s now up to congress
to vote on the bill. Isn’t that how it works? What is this I am hearing
that Obama is not doing enough?
Another thing, each time Obama makes speeches abroad, he is criticized
for giving an excellent speech but no direction. Hello! Should Obama
also take over the jobs of foreign leaders and run their countries for
them? When someone doles out advice, it’s up to the recipient to take
action.
As far as I’m concerned, Obama has done his part re: health care. No
one has been discussing health care reform since former president, Bill
Clinton, left office over 15 years ago.
The analysts, pundits, or whatever they want to call themselves, are so
bloody redundant. It wasn’t long ago, when Obama was running for
president, these same people claimed that they didn’t know what Obama
was about. Obama repeatedly outlined his agenda in speeches and on the
campaign trail. Even the media ran his bio and mentioned his past as a
community leader as well as what Obama expected to do as president.
They didn’t do it once but multiple times.
Fast forward to current day, Obama held quite a few town halls with Q
& A sessions on health care reform. He has even given speeches on
the topic yet these people (pundits, commentators, etc) pretend as if
Obama has not said a word on the topic. Maybe their judgments were
clouded by the negativity of it all. By the way, what was the lesson
learned over the summer? Everyone agreed that we need health care
reform. Obama can make only so many speeches or appearances. It’s now
up to congress to make the right decision, and a public option would be
the right choice for the American people.
For those who said that Obama was not doing enough, take a look below:

Prior
to reading the article that I am about to post, I have had my
reservations about Swine Flu. Where the hell did it come from, and why
are schools pushing parents to vaccinate their children? Yes, I have
listened to the news, and I have read up on it, but I still have my
reservations.
The following article has been floating around on the web. Please take a look and form your own conclusions.
http://www.godlikeproductions.com/fo...sage886160/pg1
I got a flu
shot last year, and I doubt if I will ever get another one. Now they
are talking about getting vaccinated for Swine Flu. Are these people
out of their bloody minds? I don’t want any pharmaceutical company
performing any experiment on me. This is all about making money, and
it’s sickening that people have to die so these companies can make out
like a bandit.

I have been meaning to post this video for the longest. Can you believe that the recording is still in my TIVO box? It says 11/16 at 11pm. I can't remember the year, but I'm assuming that it's '06. They don't post the year on the recordings in the playlist. I edited it a while back, but I lost the DVD. I finally found it and decided to upload it to youtube. If the picture is not that clear, I apologize. Hubby was using a heavy electronic equipment in another room, and I wasn't about to tell him to turn it off. That's how arguments get started. Enjoy:

Warning: This is a rant This is what gets me with these reporters: They are never satisfied. They want nothing more than to dwell on the AIG mess, and the thing is, the questions, regarding AIG, were already answered, but reporters want to dwell on it as if there is nothing else to talk about. Here is what's getting me roiled up: Ed Henry question to Obama: Why did President Obama wait several days before speaking out on the AIG bonuses? President Obama's Response:
He likes to know what he is talking about before he speaks.
What else did the reporter expect from the president? The AIG bonus debacle was discussed ad nauseaum. Was the reporter expecting an essay type response from the president? Give me a freaking break! Ed Henry asked the question and he got an answer. Instead, CNN blew it out of proportion because they thought their poor "wittle" reporter got hurt. Spare me!
The pundits and correspondents even had something to say about it. Some said that Obama's response was icy. One even went as far as saying that Obama was a "one termer." My God! He got that from that one little response? Oh, the sky is falling, the sky is falling. Pardon my sarcasm, but this is beyond ridiculous. The "one termer" comment was a typical status quo response. Listen to this very carefully: The Republicans expect Obama to fail, so if he does something right, he is a "one termer," however, if he messes up, royally, he should be re-elected for a second term. Oh, the insanity never ends. /a

We know that People are hurting, and we would like nothing better than to see a healthy economy. Let’s try to put ourselves in the new administration’s shoes. The president inherited a huge mess, and everyone expects him to miraculously fix things. The new administration did not run up the deficit. They did not cause the financial meltdown. They did not create a monopoly called AIG and ran it in the ground. They didn’t cause the big three auto makers to lose money. They did not talk Bernie Madoff into robbing all those people of their money. AIG is a hot mess. We get it. It’s time to find a solution and move on. How do we fix it? What do we do when something is in our path? We move the obstruction. Dwelling on the mess that is AIG is not getting us anywhere. It will not create jobs for people. It will not put food on the table. It will not bring back those people who committed suicide. It certainly will not get us anywhere. It only makes people angrier and angrier. People are unemployed, and the last thing they need to hear over and over and over again is that people are being paid millions of dollars while they are suffering. Enough is enough! Let’s move the hell on! /a

That’s right, folks. Sh!t is hitting the fan. Did anyone of you catch the Elliot Spitzer interview? I kept hearing Goldman Sachs over and over and over again. Is AIG another Ponzi Scheme? Was Spitzer brought down before he could investigate AIG? Holy crud! Our freaking tax dollars are at stake. This makes me want to hurt somebody, but sure I jess. Check this out:
Was Elliot Spitzer Brought Down Because of AIG
This is getting juicer by the minute. Unfortunately, quite a few people are out of jobs because of these selfish, manipulative, dirt bags. Here is another link:

CNN was doing a segment on auto mechanic scams, and I decided to pass the information on. It’s very informative, and it could save you money.
Avoid “Serial Parts Replacer”
Replacing belt, battery, or any other parts over and over again, and the problem is still not fixed, it is time to talk to your mechanic or fire him.
Don’t Get Flushed
If the mechanic tells you to flush the oil out of the engine, or flush the radiator and replace it with new fluid, don’t do it. The mechanic uses a power machine that flushes everything through and sends all the fluids out and replaces it with new fluids. What this does is knock the sediments out of the radiator, engine, or transmission and that could cause problems down the road.
Not Necessary to Go to the Dealer to Have Service Performed
You can go to an independent mechanic to have the regular service performed. The car comes with a service manual. It will specify twelve thousand service, thirty thousand service, or forty five thousand service. It tells you what needs to be done to the car. You can save $200 to $300 by going to an independent mechanic than a dealer.
Avoid “Severe Use Cycle”
Norma cycle is stop and go traffic on the highway and in and out of the city. The dealer will tell you that you are in a “severe use cycle” and advice you to have a more aggressive cycle during the maintenance of your car. Instead of getting an oil change every seven thousand miles, because of synthetic use, the dealer will tell you to get an oil change every three thousand miles.
The car dealers make more money in the service department than in up front sales, so they will get as much out of you as possible.
Finding a Reliable Mechanic
Speak to people who have been with a mechanic for a long time. In addition, stay inside American Automobile Association (AAA), or other auto mechanic groups.
Here is something else that I picked up:
Free Car Offer
I hope this information was helpful to all who drives.

I am so sick and tired of some of these Republicans who sit back and complain about the Obama Administration spending all this money. First of all, who got us into this mess? Secondly, have we heard any solutions from the Republican base? All I keep hearing are complaints after complaints. All the complaining will not fix what ails the economy.
We hear all this talk about bipartisanship, but only three Republicans came forward and supported Obama and the stimulus bill. God bless them. I'm sure their constituents will not forget what they did. It seems to me that most of these politicians are looking out for their own self interests. They don't give a damn about the people. It's no wonder the Bush Administration failed miserably. I guess that's why some want Obama to desperately fail. Misery loves company I guess.
Does anyone have a solution? Can we get some constructive ideas? I'm sick of all the complaints. Cry me a river already! /a

This is my take on the issue: Some Americans are afraid to talk about race. Some think ignoring it will make it go away. I don’t mind discussing it at all. That’s the only way we will come to grips with it and realize that it still exists.
Here is Eric Holder’s take on it:I'm going to sound off a bit here. I swear, I'm not being racist when I say this, but I can't help but think that some of the people of color that served in the Bush cabinet are a bunch of robots. It's as if they expect to get brownie points, from the Republican party, when they speak. I'm waiting for them to come out of their shells and say how they really feel instead of whitewashing everything they say. They make me sick. Ugh!
Here is a perfect example:
Ron Christie, former Domestic Policy Advisor to Pres. Bush, thought Eric Holder’s comments were disgraceful. I don’t know about others, but Ron Christie is on Fantasy Island, and yes, he is delusional. I shake my head each time he opens his mouth. It seems to me that Ron wants to ignore the issue of race and pretends that it doesn't exists.
Kudos to Roland Martin, CNN political consultant and radio host, for speaking the truth and having the guts to say what’s on his mind. He said that some people would rather ignore the issue of race and agreed with what Erich Holder said. My sentiments exactly.
