El Gaucho Seattle to Host Saucy Burlesque Show
Miss Indigo Blue and The 4 Horsemen Bring 
Va Va Voom to Pampas Room starting this Fall
 
Seattle, Wash.—(August 11, 2009)— With its swanky ambiance, El Gaucho Seattle’s Pampas Room is the perfect venue for the adults-only variety of dinner theater known as burlesque.

Miss Indigo Blue and The 4 Horsemen will begin a run of “The Blue Moon Cabaret” from 7:30 to 10:30 p.m. starting on October 16 at El Gaucho. Admission includes a four-course, set dinner menu with your choice of entrée. A select, discounted wine list will be available during the show. Tickets vary in price from $100 to $225 per person and are available at El Gaucho, (206) 728-1337.

Front-row table seating costs $225 per person and includes a bottle of Veuve Cliquot champagne
Regular table seating costs $130 per person
Bar seating costs $100 per person

With sassy, sultry, enchanting, irreverent humored, and sophisticated costumes and choreography, the performers are shining starlets who deftly balances the almost-tasteful with the always-titillating. The a star-studded rotating cast from some of the best burlesque and cabaret performers on the planet with be presented every other Friday, each with a slightly different twist. The newest batch of fresh-faced tassel-twirling sweethearts are about to graduate from the Academy of Burlesque, and we want you to come see them in their debut!

The Academy of Burlesque Fall 101 Recital will be happening this Friday, October 9, in the West Hall of the Oddfellows Building.

The Burlesque 101 Student Graduation recital includes brand-new performers, some for whom this is their very first time on stage! As seen in the independent film A Wink And A Smile, the Academy of Burlesque 6-week sessions transform students from curious cuties to full-fledged foxes!

San Francisco, CA -- August 26, 2009 --  The first of its kind in burlesque, Kaleidoscope show-cases performers of color. The broad range of performances include drag, burlesque, song, and aerial art which promises to be erotic, sexy, and witty. Starring burlesque legend, Toni Elling (Detroit); the Creole queen of burlesque, Desire D’Amour (Tucson); femme fatale, Orchid Mei (Denver); the comedic song bird, Sheu Sheu L’Haure (Montana); Southern queer beauty, The Lady Ms. Vagina Jenkins (Atlanta); the tempestuous temple of temptation, Shanghai Pearl (Seattle); and flirty theory-readin’ femme, Ginger Snapz (Seattle). 

Kaleidoscope will feature the best local performers of color in the Bay Area. Featuring founder of Harlem Shake, Simone De La Getto: queen of Carnaval, Kellita of Hot Pink Feathers; the shimmy of the Bay, Cherry Gallete; fashionista drag fag, Thisway/Thatway; fussy drag queen/king, Charleston Chu; and “La sin verguenza” show founder and Ms Gay Latina 2005 and 2006,  La Chica Boom.

Our mission is to entertain and cast light on the knowledge, actions, and transformations that pertain to people of color performance and race-positive sexuality.
