An actual letter from an Element Eighty fan

I want to thank you all for saving my life.... Not that ya'll did anything in particular but let me tell you the story!

Christmas day i got a call from my girlfriend of a year, She called and told me that she was getting back with her husband i said "husband?" and she said "yes **** (Name kept confidential) im married and my husband just got home from being deployed" the man had been gone for a year... from talking to her mom and the rest of her family i realized they seperated just before he left, anyways this crushed me.... i had become extremly close to both of my now ex girlfriends daughters... and i had been accepted into a family that truley cared about me!

I was about as depressed as i could be, so i swallowed a bunch of pills and said my good byes! only to throw them all up 15 min later... so i went to the liqour store and i bought a handle of jack and i was going to drink my self into a comma.... i drank the whole handle in a 3 hour period and was trashed, i laid down in my bed and thought i better get on my back so when i throw all this up ill suffocate... and die.... the next morning i woke up, with nothing but a severe hang over!

then i said ok this isent working, i loaded my ar-15 colapsed the stock and loaded a roung into the chamber, the phone rang and i dident want anyone to be suspicious so i answered put on some music and answered it because i did not want my family to think anything was out of the ordinary! i got off the phone with them put my gun in my mouth and "the sacrifice" came on, and i started thinking about how much fun i had at ya'lls cd release party... the song was over and i put the gun back in my mouth, then broken promises came on... i listened to the lyrics and i related it exactly to what had just happined to me!

I unloaded the round, put my gun away and listened to your music over and over again... you all will have no idea how much your music means to me now....

It saved my life!

thank you!

forever a fan,
***** (Name kept confidential)
