Hey everyone!

I'm going on a tour this summer and am wondering if you can help me. It will just be me, my guitar, a small amp, and the Wild Nettle Bookmobile, an anarchist literature distributer from Winona, MN (www.wildnettle.com). It's going to be similar to a tour I went on last summer. You could read about that at http://www.crimethinc.com/blog/2008/06/10/froseph-goes-on-the-deep-breath-tour/ . There will be a ton of free literature available along with a lot of books, zines, music, and screenprinted goodies for sale, including benefit projects for the RNC 8 and MKE 3.

Here's the rough itinerary so far.
This is the very first announcement of this, so no dates or shows have been confirmed – that's where you come in, right?!

June:

21, 22-Winona, MN
22, 23-Madison, WI
23, 24-Milwaukee, WI
24, 25-Holland, MI
25, 26-Kalamazoo, MI
26, 27-Ann Arbor, MI
27, 28-Detroit, MI
28, 29-Toledo, OH
29, 30-Columbus, OH
30, 1-Athens, OH

July:

1, 2-West Virginia somewhere
2, 3-Washington D.C.
3, 4-Baltimore
5 – 9-Philadelphia July 5-9
9 – 13-Punxsutawney, PA July 9-13
13 – 27-Pittsburgh, PA July 13-27 (CrimethInc. Convergence 20-26)
28, 29-Lexington, KY
29, 30-Louisville, KY
30, 31-Cincinnati, OH
31, 1-Bloomington, IN

August:

1, 2-Evansville, IN
2, 3-St. Louis, MO
3, 4-Kansas City, MO
4, 5-Lawrence, KS
5, 6-Omaha, NE
6, 7-Des Moines, IA
7, 8-Decorah, IA

Ideally, this would be a house show in a basement or living room with other DIY acts from the area and/or traveling through. But any park, infoshop, or community center would be great, too. I'm very low maintenance – all I'd need is a big table for the distro, and somewhere to plug in an amp.

I'm also looking to play in as many small towns as possible, so if you know of anyone around these areas who might be interested in hosting this, I'd really appreciate their contact info.

So, what do you think? Is this something anyone would be interested in throwing? I'd love to catch up with you and your community.

In danger,
Froseph

This is from the Spring 2008 issue of Profane Existence (56), a hardcore punk journal out of Minneapolis:

FROSEPH -- Deep Breath CD

From the hand-screened cover to the poetic lyrics, Deep Breath is a personal release. FROSEPH is a one-man experimental riot-folk unit whose music is his way of dealing with painful events in his past. The lyrics are extremely beautiful and filled with emotion. The honesty and bravery in these words was enough to bring tears to my eyes. It's actually amazing how he can make such deceptively upbeat music with suck dark lyrics. This CD is like a poetic personal zine put together on a four-track. I wish I could write a longer review for this, but I'm absolutely stunned. (Inbred)

Casandra and I have finished a zine about our hitchhiking adventures from the summer. We traveled 2,000 miles with the Up & Clean bus from Salem, OR to Winona, MN. Then we hoped off the bus and hitchhiked 3,400 miles together from Winona, to Milwaukee, WI, through IN to Lexington, KY, to NC: Asheville, Greensboro, Carrboro, Greenville, to Philadelphia, PA, to Athens OH for the 6th annual CrimethInc. Convergence and back to Winona. It was a fantastic summer and we made a fantastic team. If you'd like to read about our adventures, I can send you a copy of The Adventures of Thumb and Foot for $2 ppd. It's 32 pages of cut-and-paste-style fun!
