The Men of Tin gave a roaring opening for Les Dudek at the Little Fox Theater on March 24th! The mission was to warm up the crowd and so we did. TinMan burned through some great songs in a rousing 1 hour set. We also lauched two new songs on the crowd, L.A. Woman and Supersition that each got a warm welcome from the crowd. We left the stage smokin' and ready for Les Dudek who proceeded to do some fine shreddin' on his own! If you weren't there...you should've been.
Check out the great shots taken by Hiede Ritter!

Thought we should let everyone know that "Philly" Bill has remixed Green Eyed Lady, Misty Mountain Hop and Hush. He added his bass lines and a few background vocal parts to spice up the mix.
We hope you all enjoy the "new" versions and please comment to let us know what you think!

TinMan is very pleased to announce that we will be opening for guitarist extraordinaire Les Dudek and his band on Saturday Mar. 24, 2007, 8pm. Les Dudek is one of the great, unsung guitar heroes of the classic rock era. His name may not be as familiar as the Allman Brothers' and Steve Miller's, but Les contributed to the albums that would come to define those artists. Les' career took off after an early opportunity with the Allman Brothers. Following Duane Allman's death, Les was brought in to help record "Ramblin Man" and, later, "Jessica". Boz Scaggs snatched Dudek up, producing Dudek's first solo album and forging a musical partnership that would result in Scaggs' classic 'Silk Degrees' album. While working with Boz, Dudek befriended a group of musicians with whom he would work extensively; those same musicians later enjoyed a wildly successful career as Toto. In 1980 Les formed Black Rose with Cher, releasing one of the more rocking endeavors in her entire catalog. In the intervening years, Les has continued on as a solo artist. In the 90's he released the acclaimed 'Deeper Shades of Blues' album, and just recently unveiled 'Freestyle', a retro-fueled mix of songs both new and old, and featuring contributions from Stevie Nicks and Jeff Porcaro, among others. Let's go freestylin' with Les Dudek! www.lesdudek.com Performing with Les on the upcoming dates are, Bryan Hawkins,(Drums)Dan Walters(Bass Guitar/Vocals) and featuring Mike Kindred (Keyboards/Vocals), formally of Stevie Ray Vaughn's "Triple Threat" and author of "Cold Shot" We look forward to seeing you all at this show!

TINMAN GETS BASS BOOST! TinMan welcomes their new bass player and band member - bass guitar pro and vocalist 'Philly' Bill Weir, to the band lineup! Bill is a 'seasoned' musician and stage presence, having played on both east and west coasts for popular rock and blues bands, and should prove a great addition to the already popular TinMan groove! In recent months, TinMan has successfully co-headlined one of the bay area's premier concert clubs -The Little Fox Theater in Redwood City multiple times, played the world famous Slims in San Francisco and numerous other venues in Northern California. With Bill's addition to their lineup, TinMan looks forward to expanding their success and fan base beyond the bay area borders. Welcome 'Philly' Bill! PS - Bill earned his nickname while playing bass for east coast blues/rock guitar great Mike Dugan, since Bill lived closest to the City of Brotherly Love!

FunnelHeads, Tune in to 98.5 KFOX (especially to the Greg Kihn show in the mornings) to hear the Men of Tin! We understand they have been spinnin' quite a lot of us in the past several days. Keep an ear out for our covers of Misty Mountain Hop (Led Zeppelin), Green Eyed Lady (Sugarloaf), Desperado (The Eagles) and Hush (Deep Purple). Why are they doing this you ask? We entered into The Last Band Standing contest. On October 6th (Hey! That's the day we play the Little Fox!) they announce the eight semi-finalists. Now we could use your help by email or phone and let KFOX know you support TinMan! Email Greg Kihn and request TinMan: http://www.kfox.com/pages/contact.html Or call the request line: 866-985-KFOX And tell your friends! Thank you all for your support, TinMan

Funnelheads,
Once again, the Little Fox was packed with shiny, happy people as your weekend warriors delivered another strong set that moved the shoes and sent souls reeling into the next dimension. I couldn't tell if it was just the lights or if y'all were bathing us in a warm shower of pleasant vibes. Either way, it was hot up there on stage, and I'm glad I didn't have to wear a puffy shirt and leather pants...
Speaking of which, hopefully most of you stuck around for the raucous good time provided by Heartbreaker. There was a moment when I looked up from my sippin' tumbler full of Maker's Mark and had the distinct impression I'd been sucked through an H.G. Wells space/time warp back to Madison Square Garden circa 1973. Zeppelin's timeless rock only furthers their point... the song definitely remains the same.
The men of tin humbly and gratefully thank all of you who made your way to Downtown Redwood City for the second show of what is now sure to be a pseudo-residency for us at a fantastic venue with impeccable sound in a revitalized Peninsula 'hood. Our groove and your support set us a band apart from the rest of the local scene, and we can only hope for the lovefest to continue.
To that point, we'll be entering our very own LogicPro studio in July to record some of our finest tunes, which should be ready for your consumption by the end of the summer. We also have plans to get Her Majesty's Ship "Originals" out of dry dock in time for Halloween and NYE festivities. With a slew of new cover tracks coming your way as well, the rest of 2006 promises to be very busy and highly productive for everyone in the TinMan community.
Thanks again for all your support, and VAMOS GIGANTES!
This is Pete Rock, signing off.
