Toe still very sore and a bit inflamed. It was sticted up with dissolving stiches but they don't seem to be disappearing. A bit of research on the web seems to suggest that it's only the internal part of the stitch that gets dissolved and any bit protuding fom the skin can go hard and stick in the skin causing 'tunnels'.

Therefore last night I sat watching tele with my foot in a bowl of warm water to try to soften things up a bit. Some pain relief but I think I am going to have to repeat the process several more times then may try pulling the stitches out with tweezers!

My toe hurts. Aiee.

Just had a really deep corn removed from the outside of my little toe on my right foot. It's been a pain, literally, for years and I finally got round to doing something about it. Tried corn plasters, acid, digging away at it with knives etc. but it keeps coming back and makes walking quite painful.

The surgeon cut it out this morning at the hospital in Dinan under a local anaesthetic and now that's wearing off and the paracetemol is not really making much impression. I did make a bit of a blunder by driving myself to hospital in boots, which of course I had great difficultly getting back on after the op with the dressings etc. Driving home was a bit uncomfortable.

Got to go back Wednesday to have a dressing changed. Not sure when the stiches need to come out. Hope the pain improves soon.
