I’ve been taking my Maddy Girl (Shih Tzu) for a lot more walks lately and she’s really perking up. It’s a miracle and a reminder how cautious one must be when a vet wants to stick your canine companion on drugs and make you feel guilty if you feed your pet people food.
I can’t remember having nearly as many problems with my pets years ago when there wasn’t any such thing as dog food. Now we stuff processed food into our pets that smell bad and we expect a good response.
I think one of my new-years resolutions this year will be to get back to basics in as many ways as possible. There is something to be said for the old way of doing things. I mean I never stopped cooking wholesome meals for my family replacing breakfast lunch and dinner with fast food so why did I let anyone bully me into thinking that my pets would be healthier and happier if I stopped cooking for them.

Oprah is finally moving into a phase that should allow her to lose weight.
