Hey, Urr’body! At this point, many of you may be confused by the fact that we are no longer calling ourselves Flynn, but Inglorious. Others of you may have never even heard of us until now and don’t wonder about the name change. Either way, we’re glad you’re even the slightest bit interested! To make more sense of things, how about some band history? Flynn began (without the name yet) as a 4-piece in the underground of First Baptist Church, Spartanburg during the band members’ 10th and 11th grade years—Jay Arrington (guitar/lead vocals), being the youngest in 10th grade and the rest of the fellas, Justin Burns (bass), Johnny Burns (guitar), and Taylor Cash (drums/vocals), in 11th grade. Originally recruited to play praise music for kids’ Wednesday night services, the band practiced regularly in the underground. One day, after practice for a praise set was finished, tales of previous bands and old songs and song ideas arose in conversation. Soon after, the question was asked, “Hey, do you guys wanna be like… a real band? And play shows outside church ‘n’ stuff?” The answer was a unanimous, “Yes.” A friend of the band had the last name Flynn, and as a joke, it was suggested we be called The John Flynn Band. Then one member said, “How about just Flynn?” and it stuck. Experimenting with various genres, Flynn began learning two songs: “Anesthesia” and “No Sense in Leaving.” “Anesthesia” was a short, not-very-good metal song that proved to be a little beyond our skill level at the time. Justin (now Inglorious’ front man/screamer) could not yet scream, and Jay and Taylor could not physically sing the melodies/harmonies Jay dreamed up in his head for the song. Needless to say, it got canned. “No Sense in Leaving,” an indie-rockish song became Flynn’s first song ever and was on the Flynn EP several months later. Veteran Flynn fans may recall that EP song as well as others: Reality—My Worst Enemy, A Minor Setback, I’ll Wait for You, Peter Rabbit Needs to Stay Out of Mr. McGregor’s Garden, and If Beauty is in the Eye of the Beholder, I Must Be Going Blind.” The EP was recorded in ....Taylor....’s bedroom on Jay’s digital recorder. New at recording and not quite familiar with his new machine, Jay rushed through mixing and mastering due to his and the rest of the band’s eagerness to distribute the CDs to their friends. Soon, Flynn made a home venue out of the BCM beside Wofford College and, over the course of the BCM building’s existence, enjoyed playing with bands such as The Enclaved, Divide the Sea, 10:18, The Red Line, Darrel Jr., Bradley Hathaway, Firefly Summer, My Calvary, Fixed ‘til Tuesday (now I Am Terrified), Sullivan, Flee the Seen, Chasing Victory, and others. After many shows playing nothing but EP songs, Flynn wrote the song Victory. The lyrics were written by Jay in class one day after he finished an HSAP test, and music was soon written along with it. It instantly became Flynn’s heaviest song (at the time) with the most screaming in any song so far. Justin began really working on his screams after only screaming small parts in a few EP songs. Victory was recorded on Flynn’s first full length album, Forever and Ever Amen (recorded by Will Wright), and is the oldest song on it. Around the time of Flynn’s next song debuts, Wasting Our Time Doing Something Worthwhile, and The Red Song, the band decided to try out Justin in center stage playing bass and screaming with Jay on stage left. Until that time, most of the songs were predominantly singing. It made sense for Jay to be in the middle. Newer songs contained more screaming. The crowd reaction to the change was fairly good, and energy seemed to be boosted significantly. Slowly, but surely, the EP songs were filtered out of live performances completely and replaced with new songs. After playing countless shows up until the release of the full length album, Justin remained playing bass and screaming simultaneously. Problems arose with this combination, however. Being confined to a mic, Justin was not able to be very close to the crowd to get them involved. It was also difficult to write screaming parts and more difficult bass parts that could be done at the same time. The solution was to bring in a fifth member to play bass and leave Justin with just a mic. Even more energy was brought on stage by the change, and a new chapter in Flynn shows began. Now the band is the four original members, Justin, Johnny, Taylor, and Jay along with Andrew Brower on bass. From beginning to present, the band’s music has tapered from various genres down to a more solid style. The music is beginning to mature with new ideas and inspirations. The band has re-focused their musical purpose to ministering to people. Not to receive glory, but to deflect the glory to God. Hence the name Inglorious.
Thanks to all of you who keep up with us, pray for us, and/or listen to us. For a lot of you, we'll always be Flynn, and that's cool. We hope you'll support us regardless! To others, we may be Flynnglorious. Others, Inglorious. Others, that band that sounds like that movie title. We love you all no matter what.

| Tour week 1 and 2... Update from Justin...(Juice)
Week 1 I’m writing to all the people who have asked how tour has been going. Here is a list of things that have happened:
1. We have played some really awesome shows and have met some really awesome people.
2. We have slept in the van almost every night.
3. One night while we were sleeping in the van, it rained and everything got wet.
4. We went to the beach!
5. We swam in the ..Tennessee River.. and played king of the float (video coming soon).
6. We fixed a really messed up tire on the van.
7. ....Taylor.... twisted his leg like a pretzel while mountain boarding down a hill.
8. God has taught me so much these past 7 days. I have been rereading Wild at Heart and a passage I came across said,
”When a warrior is in service, however to a True King- that is a transcendent cause, he does well, and his body becomes a hard working servant, which he requires to endure cold, heat, pain, wounds, scarring, hunger, lack of sleep, hardship of all kinds, HE DOES WHAT IS NECCESARRY!”
These past 7 days there have been tests, temptations, and flaring tempers, lack of sleep, hunger, and heat. And I am proud to say we fought through it and beat it with flying colors.
Please pray for us as we continue with this tour. And remember to do what is necessary in order to further God’s kingdom.
Week 2
So the past 3 days have been insane. Here is a list of our noteworthy events:
1. Jay got sick and lost his voice due to violent coughing. Taylor, Johnny, Brower, and I have helped out with vocals. (Lindsey your vocal lessons got put to use; lol)
2. We actually got to shower and sleep in some houses.
3. We went to a Wal-Mart and got in trouble for hooking our microwaves up to an outlet in front of the store. (The Wal-Mart had a policeman as a security guard. You know you’re in a bad part of town when there is a real cop always on guard at Wal-Mart. Johnny saw gang graffiti in the bathroom)
4. Three cowboys called us (Flynn) and Divide the Sea “Faggots” in the mall. We walked to check out what movies were playing, and the cowboys were there too. They saw us approaching and left. That’s right.
5. We saw a sign for a place called “Big Jim’s Boobie Bungalow.” There must not be much decent entertainment in ....Alabama..... (What a sad world we live in)
6. Today while I was driving I-65 to ....Nashville...., the van started to shake. Then, the following dialogue took place:
Me: Brower do you feel that shaking? Brower: Yeah, dude. I wonder what that is. Jay: (Raspy voice) We should probably pull over at the next exit and check for tire tumors. Me: Okay. Brower: Yeah, dude. Pull over at the next exit.
When we were 0.6 miles from the next exit, there was a loud popping noise and the van started to bounce violently. I just held the wheel and looked around saying, “Whaa? What is that!?” Jay and Johnny proceeded to yell, “PULL OVER! PUT ON YOUR HAZARDS!” repeatedly.
Long story short, we got towed to a near-by tire shop called Andy’s Tire & Wheel. He fixed us up with three new tires, and we were off to ....Nashville...., TN.
Through all of this, God taught me to “laugh it off.” Bad stuff happens and we will live through it. The quote that came to me while sitting on the side of the road was from the movie “Rocky Balboa.”
“It’s not how hard you can hit, It’s how hard you can get hit and keep on moving.”
Well we got hit hard! And laughed in Satan's face. We all stood our ground and told Satan he wasn’t going to bring us down!
Continue to pray for us, especially Jay.
God bless |

Hey, Urr’body!
.. ..
We figured it’s about time to give you all some info on what’s going down in Flynntown.
.. ..
As you may have noticed our status states that we are currently writing new music. That is a true statement. We will be playing some shows here and there for the next few months; however, our primary focus is to finish writing our next album. We are very excited to bring you new music as you have been so supportive ever since “Forever and Ever Amen” had its debut. This new album will hopefully be released with the label we are quietly speaking to at the moment. (Don’t ask, it’s hush-hush) We are currently planning our 30-day summer tour which will take place June 13-July11. During that time we will be attending Cornerstone Festival!
.. ..
We’ve been really working on friendships in the band lately to make sure we act like brothers instead of just guys that play music together. It’s making a significant difference in all of our lives and the time we spend together; we hope the same difference will be present in our ministry.
.. ..
Thanks for your love and support,
.. ..
[Flynn]

Lyrics:
"SHOW & TELL AINT ’TIL THURSDAY"
Would you remember if you wrote this down, if so you may as well start writing now, will this be your last, how many will you have, I’ll shut the door, on these manufactured lines, cause in your eyes there’s nothing left to see, oh is this how you want it to end, all the innocence is gone, but was there really that much to begin with, pursed lips at first sight, and your open arms made me think that you were right, all signs pointed to disaster, but our eyes were fixed and we weren’t turning back for anyone, I hope you found what you’re looking for, cause it sure as anything wasn’t me, it wasn’t me, I called your name, you didn’t hear, I watched you walk away, you can’t see, but it’s so clear, that our time is done, if this is closure, I’ll never come back again, I’ve never had the taste (for a bitter end), write this down, and remember how it goes, when you fall this hard, it’s not what you planned to hear, and it’s not what I planned to say, I don’t have to say anything at all, but I’ll go out of my way, I’ve taken every chance, but I’m left with empty hands, I gotta leave this place, leave this place, Goodbye.
"THE RED SONG"
And after all we’ve done, after all we’ve done to you, you still love us, you still love us, their hands won’t bring us down, their hands won’t bring us down, I’ll face this now with you by my side, I won’t leave one man left fallen behind, you have me new life, so I’ll give you mine, their hands won’t bring us down, their hands won’t bring us down, and as we cross over the line that separates us from everything we know, we just hear what you say, with hearts that easily betray, we can’t be worthy of you with a tendency to kill the very words you say, now my actions speak so loud, louder than my words, without a voice I’ll be heard, give light to my eyes or I’ll sleep in death, enemies have nothing left, please don’t hide your face from me, cause I can’t fight another day alone when I’m so weak, this is not a place where anyone should have to stay, so gather strength, it’s time we say, "With you in our hearts and hands raised high, we triumph now, we triumph now!" and oh how we say, your love is so unfailing, your love will never fail, you still love us, you still love us.
"ANOTHER DISGUISE"
Forgive me if it’s not the best time for me to get this off my mind, but I’m not gonna stand here and watch you lose the innocence inside your voice, when the road is so narrow up ahead, you can’t lose that spark in your eyes, don’t give yourself away, I know that you think it’s just a thrill, I pray you will find your way out of here, you’re worth more than this, keep your eyes open, don’t let them touch you, he’s full of lies and you know he is, so why are you smiling, no, don’t you give in, no, don’t give in to this, don’t say you like what you hear, girl, please cover your ears, you’re so beautiful and all they’ll do is take that from you, there’s a pack of wolves outside, don’t open your door, they’ll sink their teeth through your skin, they’ll tear you limb from limb.
"I AM LEONIDAS"
I have come to fight, but I have not strategy, break my hands, pull them away, I’m a traitor to my own heart, Lord, take everything I have, all of me, leave me with nothing so I’ll see what I missed, how long will this battle last, my flesh is weak and I want to come home, I’m in a world I never imagined, these people are falling all around me (all around me, everywhere I turn) everywhere I turn, I see them start to retreat, O, God, see the traitor now, it’s me, it’s me, as I drew near to the battle line I saw the enemy as he approached, and as we finally came face to face, I drew my sword and I shattered the mirror, oh God it was me, and I confess it was me, but you knew all along, yet you still loved me and fought right beside me, and God all I really deserved was for you, just to spew me from your mouth, we come by the hundreds but fight as one, I’m in a world I never imagined, these people are falling all around me (all around me, everywhere I turn) everywhere I turn, I see them start to retreat, take your men out of here, they will not survive, this war is merciless, it’s live or die, great is our God, great is our God!
"WASTING OUR TIME DOING SOMETHING WORTH WHILE"
My hands won’t move, the air is getting thin, no sight is coming to my eyes, my eyes, I’ve been here long enough and it’s the hardest place to stay, all the while knowing that there’s more to see, take us where you’d like for us to go, craft our hands to your design, and sometimes I just can see your plans for me, where I should be, I long to know where I should go, you’re my Lord, Jesus, my God I will sing your praises, my God, I will exalt your name, now we’re falling down so much faster than we can pick ourselves up inside this life that we are in (take it away), but I know you’re there, I know you’re there, this life is a battle, we’re dying every day, this life is a battle, oh, God, take it away.
"SHE TAUGHT US HOW TO DIE" All to Jesus I surrender, all to him I freely give, I will ever love and trust him, in his presence daily live, I surrender all, to You, I surrender all, all to thee my blessed Savior, I surrender all, I surrender all to you, I surrender all, I surrender all to you.

"LIFE"
If I thought words would do justice, I would have written a thousand books by now, this life is only understood from experience, it’s living proof that I was ever alive at all, if you’ve spent your whole life breathing but find you suffocate with every breath, then follow me to the open doors, the blood of Christ is running through my veins, this heart pumps life through my once dead body, I feel it, I feel it, if I thought words would do justice, I would have sung a thousand songs by now, this life is only understood from experience, it’s living proof that You were ever alive at all, and You’re still alive, this is our praise to our King in heaven, who sent His only son to die for you and me, you say it’s a crutch, but I say it’s life to the full, (I feel it, I feel it) the thief will come to steal and kill, and to destroy, but we will win, amazing grace, how sweet the sound, amazing grace, how sweet the sound
"VICTORY"
Close your eyes, we’re coming to find you now, the sun will rise, it’s past time for you to drown, in all that you brought here, we’re never letting go, never letting go of what is real, we won’t join in your foolish game where the victor is the first to die, quit when you think you can’t go on, but we, we don’t stop until our ammunition’s gone, take your filth that’s burning down our walls, the scarlet blankets that cover us when we fall, our hearts will break your swords, and our souls will pierce your faithless shields, O, God protect us from their overthrow, and show your strength to the ones who will never know, crack the teeth of my enemies, and raise me up with you, in our victory with you, victory with you, this is my soul, this is my life, this is my heart, for Christ I would die, this is my soul, this is my life, this is my blood, it’s yours not mine, in our victory with you, with you.
"AND MY EYES FAIL"
Save me, God, the waters have come to my neck, I sink in the miry depths, where there is no foothold for me, in deep waters floods engulf me (and my eyes fail), my eyes fail looking for my God, those who hate me without reason, outnumber the hairs of my head, as if I never knew just how much I could mean to you, I fall down from your arms and stumble on to something new, as if I never knew, I stumble on to something new, so tell me where’s your faith, come to your senses before it’s too late, wrapped in the arms of love, nothing can reach you, those who hate me without reason, outnumber the hairs of my head, as if I never knew just how much I could mean to you, I fall down from your arms and stumble on to something new, save me, God, the waters have come to my neck, I sink in the miry depths where there is no foothold for me, in deep waters floods engulf me (and my eyes fail), my eyes fail looking for my God.

[MATTHEW 28:16-20]
"Then the eleven disciples went to Galilee to the mountain where Jesus had told them to go. When they saw him, they worshiped him; but some doubted. Then Jesus came to them and said "All authority in heaven and earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Sprit. And teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you and surely I am with you always to the very end of the age."
It seems that many christians have forgotten this passage in the bible. If we all truly believed in what we say we believe, why not boldy go and proclaim the name of Jesus Christ no matter what the venue or the audience? Should witnessing be only left up to youth ministers, pastors, etc.?
Recently, we have been taking heat for playing shows in places such as bars and other non-christian venues... as if we are entering these places, changing our image, and conforming to avoid confrontation. This is certainly not the case. Was it not our LORD who befriended a hooker? Was it not our LORD who healed two blind men who were rebuked and looked down upon by everyone else?[Mattew 9:27-30] Did the LORD only teach the gospel to people who diligently attended church? No!!! If we do not go into these places and tell people about Jesus, who is going to?
Our Savior loves everyone. He has called us to do the same, and that is exactly what we intend to do. If anyone becomes offended by this statement, then we believe we're on our way to accomplishing our goal and getting people out of their comfort zone. Being a Christian in todays world is not always easy. Many times people will despise what we say. That is why we will enter this spiritual battle ready to fight with Jesus Christ by our side!
[Exodus 15:3]
"The LORD is a warrior, the LORD is his name."
Who's ready to go with us?

Our mission is to present the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the best of our abilities in everything we do (on stage and off). We believe that Christianity is not solely religion,as many do, but about a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Christians are allowed to have fun, and we attempt to show this through our music and example.
