Well in music news I have been experimenting a bit recently and you should be on the edge of your seat in expectation.
I have been tagged, and have blogged as required:

Ground Rules: Once you have been tagged, you must write a blog with 7 weird facts about yourself. After the last fact, choose the next 7 people to be tagged and list their names. Then leave a comment, on their page, saying "TAG! You're it!" and tell them to read your blog.

1. When my hair gets wet it drips red down my forehead.
.1a. (My hair is "magenta".)
2. I separate snack foods by color before eating
3. I have a MacBook, even though I'm a PC guy (and I like it)
4. I just washed my dishes and got water everywhere
5. I read the newspaper daily, and often cut out sudoku/crossword puzzles just in case I get bored later...
6. I want a poster of Big Trouble in Little China, because it owns.
.6a.I've had it with these motherfucking snakes on this motherfucking plane.
7. I like to color pictures.

There is no tomorrow. I mean. There's a tomorrow. But it isn't the 29th. Nope. Not even the 30th. They don't have the common decency to even finish out the 20s. *Sigh*.

Anyway, last night I recorded a few songs at Bubblegum House and posted them here for your listening pleasure(?). Recording by Dale Jones.

[Begin Plug] Yeah, that guy in New Science Projects. What? Oh, you said "He's neat."? Well yeah. I think so too. Oh and by the way, did you know that to get a free New Science demo all you have to do is send them a message? Yeah, I didn't either until the other night. No, you can't just ask him in person. [End Plug]

Come to the show Saturday. Bring a friend. I'll draw up a personal flyer just for you. But not your friend.

Oh, and I heard this awesometastic preview of a future New Science song so be extra excited; more goodness is on it's way.

Over the past week I've made gallons of progress.

I did some recording with the New Science Projects, and some for myself too, with the aid of the New Science's Dale Jones. Unfortunately all of mine must be redone, but expect that in a few days. Check them out, by the way. Add them. You will love them. Also, in super secret news, be prepared for the One-Sided Idols, a resurrected punk band.

You can hear me at the end of the first song (Urban Euphorics), on electric...You will hear Dale on a few of mine too.

Anyway, good things is comin' our way.

I'm sure you are thrilled to find out that I have made some good progress on my current project. Unfortunately, I do not have my computer at the moment, so don't expect to hear anything unless you come out to see me. I'm thinking of going to America's Best Coffee again to try out some shit. We'll see. I might call up 1919 or something. Maybe next week.

I'm starting over.

Out with the old, in with the new. I'm recording everything I have so far and then never playing any of it again.

I've begun a new record, and it is fantastic so far. Post-emo (does that exist?), yet still emo to a certain extent. Expect a classier album.

Wish me luck.

So I put up two new songs (Close Enough and The Thought That Counts) and a new recording of Down, Not Across and I will rerecord them this weekend so you can have a little bit nicer versions.

Yes, I realize you can't hear a damn thing on the new Down, Not Across and I'll have that handled tomorrow. Also, expect to see Just a Friend.

Current mood:  optimistic

I've been recording this weekend, and I will be for the next few days as well. Expect to see a few new songs, as well as a better recording of Down, Not Across.

Coming soon (3 of the following):
The Thought that Counts
This Time I Promise
Close Enough
Just a Friend
The Most Polite Demise

Wish me luck...I have had a little difficulty getting things to sound nice so far...

Current mood:  content

So America's Best Coffee was fun, some neat acts and such. Good coffee....

When I played I could barely hear anything so I'm pretty sure I sang like crap (what's new?) but I didn't fuck up the guitar parts as bad as in the January show.

I played Down, Not Across and Just A Friend, and I had to skip a few words and phrases to make it kid-friendly. I changed one word and then I just decided I would MTV myself and skip the rest of the bad ones.

They changed my mic stand halfway through my second song. I almost missed a whole chord because I looked over at someone. I knocked over a mic stand. I left my capo in my case. I almost dropped my guitar. I started getting some feedback towards the end. I feel kind of bad because I had to leave right after I was done; my brother had places to be...

Anyway I think I'll go back next Saturday. It's free, so you shouldn't come, but it won't cost anything if you do.

Monday, July 11, 2005

Well I was really hoping to have a nicer recording up by now, but the guitar I ordered still hasn't come in yet. Once it does you can look forward to much cleaner guitar and I'll also try not to cough...

In other news, I think I'm going to get some new pictures up, seeing as the current one is quite old. So expect that soon. I think I meant to say something else, but I haven't a clue what that was...

So I finally got around to recording, and put up one of my most recent songs. Unfortunately, it has poor sound quality and I screwed up a lot. Tragic, I know.

The song is "Down, Not Across" but it won't allow commas or parentheses around the "Live" so deal with it.
