"The sound through-out this set is absolutely exquisite, every note sung and played within seems to glow, the production and mix creating the most luminescent of albums, like an aural pearl. Blindingly beautiful."

"...anybody looking for a throwback to a time when songwriting mattered and great care was given in the studio to getting the vocals to sound otherworldly and innocent at the same time, Testa Rosa will send you back there."
Goldmine
"It's clipped and taut without being an underachiever, adult without being mawkish, and earnest without being saccharine."
Left of the Dial
"A new kind of chick rock in which Nico's ennui is mixmastered with contemporary blase for the sum total of a new telling on you can always get what you want."
Midwest Record
"This is an extremely strong debut album that features classic modern pop tracks. The three band members deliver their tunes with dignity and style...and we can guarantee that this is one album that you will want to spin over and over and over again. "

"Slowly working its way up to becoming my favorite debut album of 2007, Testa Rosa is an absolute treasure with not one song that lacks in quality or artistic vision."
Obscure Sound
Singer-songwriter Betty Blexrud-Strigens definitely has a Tanya Donelly / Kristin Hersh thing going on, delivering stroong yet vulnerable vocals that will have hipster boys swooning. Stay back fellas - Testa Rosa is rounded out by husband Damian Strigens as well as Paul Hancock - the same core that formed the defunct modern rock band The Mustn'ts in the mid-00's.

Mid-year Milwaukee Mix Tape - the cities top songs of 07, so far.
... "Ollie and Delilah," a sparkling rocker that's perhaps the best alt-rock song of 1990, released in 2007.

Do yourself a huge favor-go out and buy six copies of this…one for yourself and give one each to five of your friends. You and they will be thankful and blown away all at the same time.
Chris "Cesar Palace" Tishler / rock god extraordinaireThe songs on Testa Rosa's debut CD are amazingly accomplished pop
tunes, with catchy melodies and dynamic arrangements. It's hard not to enthuse about a record that might be the best locally-issued disc in recent memory.
- Bobby Tanzilo / OnMilwaukee.comWith Betty Blexrud-Strigens' engaging voice and song-writing touch,
the band's recent self-released, self-titled disc is a sparkling pleasure.
