Hello friends!

Welcome to the newsletter.


I want to say some words about the general situation of  Xabec during 2009. The time from 2006 to 2008
has been very good, productive, and I released a lot of stuff. But besides my music I had a regular job
and at the beginning of 2008 I started to feel burned out and empty. So I decided to quit my job and most
of my live activities for a while. This sabbatical time has now begun and I want to rest a bit this year.
That doesn..t mean that I stop music! Music is my life, my therapy, my love! I will be active in music but
there are no releases and concerts planned after spring. I want to develop new ideas and let some fresh
air into my life. This is the reason why it will be more silent in 2009 than usual.


Live:

3/4.04.2009 Xabec at Elektroanschlag, Altenburg
The only real xabec gig this year. The set will include some new songs and visuals.

Future releases:

The Elektroanschlag festival CD will include a rare live recording from the year 2003, live at
Geräuschwelten, Kuba – Münster.

Berlin based colleague Hecq will release his double cd ‘Steeltongued’ including a remix by Xabec.
I heard only one song yet but it promised a great release.

At the moment my crew and me are working on a nice little thing (actually my major  release 2009),
wich hopefully is finished very soon. Maybe I can tell you some more in the next news.

The compilation ‘Invasion Wreck and frieds’ will include a transformed version of the Xabec track
‘No Disko’ by Spherical Disrupted. What he did sounds very nice. It will be released during the next
time on Invasion Wreck Chords.
 

2008 but still fresh releses:

Orphx double cd ‘Teletai’ with rarities and remixes by Imminent, Xabec, Mimetic, Sonar and more.
A great release!!!

Anne Clarks ‘The Smallest Acts Of Kindness’ Co-produced and four songs written by Xabec.
Including the hard version of the song “If” (you know it from my live shows).

DNN (Danny Prusseit of Atmogat) released his cd ‘Try To Feel’ containing finest electronica music
on Halbsicht Records. The cd includes a Xabec remix of the track ‘Early Morning’. Also mixes by Atmogat

Polarlicht 4.1 relesed his cd ‘Famos’ on the Funkwelten label. It is a 3-pac release and contains a
Xabec remix.
