Current mood: vibrant
Hey!
So song number two of three is now posted, and is a duet sung with one of my very favourite male vocalists, Kyle from Incura. :) :)
I would like to say a massive thanks to the following musicians who made this song come to life:
Tobi D - not only for the amazing drums that formed the song, but also for writing the first two lines of lyrics that inspired the remainder Jonny Milstein - for playing some wicked bass Jesse Wainwright - for always playing just the right guitar hooks Yves Frulla - for writing and arranging the most beautiful string parts I could imagine!! Kyle Gruninger - well, just listen to him.
Also I'd like to thank Richie Rich Smith for lending me his Rhodes and for pre-pro'ing the song at the Sick Days Mansion.
Let me know what you think of the new song! :)

I am excited to be tracking a new song at The Warehouse tomorrow with Josh Bowman. I must say, that piano is one of my favourites...and the room is magical. The resident ghost also add to the ambience. ;-)
Regardless, we will have a new acoustic track very soon, and by the way our jam session went today with the band, it will likely become a bit of a rocker.
Cheers,
D

Hey!
I have had several people asking what is going on with myself and the band, so I thought I would write a blog.
I am currently working hard at writing new songs in order to record a new album. We are at least halfway there - just the other day I co-wrote a song with Jeff Johnson, who is a fantastic writer/singer/guitarist. Most recently I have completed 3 new songs pre-production with producer Jeff Dawson. Very excited to be playing new stuff!!
I have a couple of shows set up, one a charity event for "Doctors Without Borders" in LA...I will be playing that one with several artists from across North America including Vancouver's own Shawn Hlookoff (please check him out...you will be amazed). The second show is June 7th at The Media Club here in Vancouver opening for Shawn...I can't wait! Show number 3 will be a 30 minute cover set at The Railway Club...any ideas for songs I should play? I am taking suggestions.
All in all, I am focussing primarily on writing and recording as it is so time consuming. And fun.
If you come to any of the upcoming shows, you will hear some of the new tunes.

To Be Posted... We just finished another song, this time at Mushroom and Hipposonic studios with Jeff Dawson (Daniel Powter "Had A Bad Day")... We re-did "Empty", so for those of you who are familiar with the song, you are in for a surprise...I am REALLY happy with the outcome - I hope you like it! The song will be posted shortly. :) D
