Poor little Georgie.

Pretty soon, he'll have nobody left to play with.

Italy went home. Poland went home. And now Tony Blair says England's going home, too.

Of course, Georgie and Dickie say this is actually good news. They say it proves they're winning the game of war they're playing in Iraq.

But nobody believes them. They're just kidding themselves. Everybody knows this makes Georgie and Dickie look like idiots.

Even Georgie's fellow Republicans understand that England didn't really, really support Georgie's war that enthusiastically – no matter what Tony Blair said – because they never sent that many troops in the first place.

Even Georgie's fellow Republicans knows this shows that England succeeded where the United States has failed.

And even Georgie's fellow Republicans recognize that Tony Blair is willing to listen to public opinion – while little Georgie Bush doesn't give a damn what the people think.

The sad part is, spoiled, stubborn little Georgie Bush is still in charge over there.

Too bad Tony Blair's not our leader.

Then we could get our troops home, too.

I posted earlier about a friend of the show who is battling leukemia. Thanks to everyone for showing support and donating to the "Big Chop". (See the link below) Thanks to everyone for supportive emails and encouragement. I've sent them all along to our friend, Justin. I also wanted to direct some people to this website from another loyal listener. This organzation is doing a lot of good work to try and eliminate these diseases. Thanks again for all the continued support. We love our listeners.

    Hey guys...

I got a bit of bad news last week.  A VERY dear friend of the show was diagnosed with leukemia.  His name is Justin Van Hoy.  He's 26 years old and he lives in Los Angeles.  He's done a lot of graphic design for the show and he's a great guy.  A mutual friend has made a pledge that she would cut off her hair if she raises 1000 dollars for leukemia research.  Her name is Amanda Hayes.  PLEASE check out her website that she's using to raise money for leukemia research.  Let's blow her goal of 1000 dollars out of the water.  Thanks so much for your continued support of the show.

She's in. And, she says, she's in to win!

Hillary Clinton is making history. She's the first former First Lady to take a shot at her husband's job. And she's the first female candidate for president with a serious chance of winning.

And, make no mistake about it. Here's where I differ with a lot of my Democratic friends…

If Hillary Clinton wins the nomination, I'm convinced she can win the White House.

Sure, a lot of people hate her. But a lot of people love her, too.

She's smart. She's articulate. She's done a good job as Senator from New York. She'll have more money than anybody else in the race. And she's tough. She'll respond immediately to any personal attacks – and she'll give as good as she gets.

All those people who say Hillary Clinton can never be elected president are the same ones who said she could never be elected Senator from New York. They were wrong, then. And they're wrong now.

You may think Hillary's too soft on the war. I do, too.

So support somebody else - because you can't agree with her on the issues.

But don't oppose Hillary Clinton just because you think she can't win.

Because she can!

What a wild ride we're in for in 2008!

I think Barbara Boxer's getting a bum rap.

Unless you've been on the moon, you know Boxer's under attack from the right-wing hate machine for taking on Condi Rice last week.

Talking about who would pay the price for escalation of the war in Iraq, Boxer first told Rice: "My children are too old, and my grandson is too young. So I'm personally not going to pay the price."

Then she continued: "You're not going to pay any particular price, as I understand it, with an immediate family."

And for that Boxer's being accused of being anti-feminist, anti-single women, anti-professional women.

Give me a freakin' break. First of all, what Boxer said is true: Neither Boxer nor Rice are going to send a son or daughter to fight in Iraq.

Second, the larger point she was making is also true: Namely, that there is no shared sacrifice among Americans in Iraq. Just a few families have been asked to pay the price for all the rest of us.

And that starts in the White House. If George Bush really wants all Americans to support sending more troops to Iraq – why haven't Barbara and Jenna put on the uniform?

"De mortius nihil nisi bonum."

Say only good things about the dead.

I learned that rule in Latin in high school – and I've broken it ever since.

Jerry Ford was a good, decent, down-to-earth man.

Even in the White House, he fixed his own English muffin for breakfast.

He was a fiscal conservative, but on social issues like gay rights and women's rights – thanks to the influence of his strong-willed wife Betty – he was amazingly tolerant.

And you have to love how he came back from the grave, even before he was in it, to taunt the hapless George W. Bush about the insanity of the war in Iraq.

But, among all the good things we can thank Gerald Ford for, the pardon of Richard Nixon was not one of them.

I refuse to join the chorus of pundits who insist that forgiving Nixon was the right thing to do.

All he did, in my opinion, was enable other presidents to pardon other crooks.

Reagan pardoned Ollie North. Clinton, Mark Rich. And Bush will, no doubt, pardon Scooter Libby.

They say Ford united the country by giving Tricky Dick a pardon.

Nonsense. He could have just as easily united the nation by sending Tricky Dick to jail.

And should have.

It's the cover of Newsweek.

It's the constant topic of cable TV.

It's the greatest heavyweight title bout since Evander Holyfield and Mike Tyson.

Of course, I'm talking about Hillary Rodham Clinton v. Barack Hussein Obama.

What a great political contest.

Here's my take on it.

They're both rock stars, but – at this point – you have to admit: Hillary's the strong front-runner.

She has unlimited money, a strong organization, and lots of experience on the national level.

If she runs – and there's no doubt she will – I think it will be impossible for any of the eight other candidates to stop her.

But – if anybody can – it's Barack Obama. Even without the war chest or the machine, he's still a super candidate with broad appeal. The perfect candidate for those looking for an alternative to Hillary.

In other words, they're both rock stars – and the Democratic party's lucky to have them both to choose from.

I wouldn't want to bet on which one wins the nomination, but I will bet on this:

The next president of the United States will either be the first woman: Hillary Clinton – or the first black: Barack Obama.

We'll be in great shape with either one of them.

The boy president strikes out again.

After getting the country all excited…

Putting out the word President Bush was ready, in the wake of the Iraq Study Group report, to announce a whole new "way forward" on Iraq…

In a speech from the Oval Office next week, before Christmas…

The White House suddenly changed its tune. Now we're told – there won't be any speech until sometime in January.

Why? Because George Bush doesn't have a clue. He has no idea what to do about Iraq, so he's just gonna relax over the holidays – while Karl Rove tries to figure out where we from here.

What a poor excuse for a Commander-in-Chief.

And what a costly delay for our men and women in Iraq – who've paid the ultimate price in Iraq so far this month at a rate of four a day.

Which means as many as another 80 Americans could be killed in Iraq over the next three weeks – while George Bush is scratching his behind.

Where's the decision-maker we need? George Bush is like a ship without a rudder. And we – are a people without a leader.

They met, they examined the facts – and they wimped out.

That just about sums up the Ethics Committee investigation into the Mark Foley scandal.

What a national disgrace. And what a cowardly cop-out – on the part of both Republicans and Democrats.

Members of the special Ethics Committee admit that Foley was, indeed, poaching on interns for sex.

They conclude that Foley's Republican superiors were informed about Foley's actions – yet decided to remain –quote – "willfully ignorant" – end quote – for political reasons.

They agree that the "weight of evidence" indicates that Denny Hastert lied when he said he had no advance knowledge of Foley's actions.

And yet they refuse to hold anyone accountable: not John Boehner, not Tom Reynolds, not Denny Hastert or any of his aides.

Once again, members of Congress commit acts that anybody else would go to jail for – and are allowed to walk away scot free.

No responsibility. No accountability. No credibility.

We learn, once again, that members of Congress can't be trusted to police themselves.

Because all they're worried about – is saving each other's ass.

It..s hard to believe, but it..s true.

As of today, the United States has been at war in Iraq .. longer than we were engaged in all of World War II.

That..s right. We defeated Hitler, Mussolini, and Japan .. quicker and easier than we..ve managed to secure one city. Baghdad.

Think of the difference between those two wars.

In World War II, there was a real threat to the free world. In Iraq, there was no threat to anybody.

In World War II, everybody knew whom we were fighting .. and why. In Iraq, after three and a half years, nobody still knows why the hell we..re there.

In World War II, in one way or another, every American .. even kids .. made sacrifices for the troops. In Iraq, only a few American families pay the entire cost .. in lives and dollars.

In World War II, the entire free world was united against a common enemy. In Iraq, the United States stands alone.

Because: World War II was a war worth fighting. Iraq is a war of choice we should never started in the first place. But we did.

Because: In World War II, our president was a great leader. In Iraq, our president..s an idiot.
