Current mood:nature's callin'

So, yeah, about shows. We aren't playing them right now. We just can't at the moment. Sorry. Wish we could. MAYBE in the summer sometime...

The record is progressing s-s-s-s-l-o-o-o-wly. Not nearly at the speed that I would like, but that is beyond our control really right now (hint: it has to do with the economy and the time-space continuum). I will try to post some mixes or re-mixes here in the near future.

In other news, two of us, Alan and I (Jacob) have side projects coming out this spring/summer. I can't say for sure what Al's is called because he's been deciding on a name for about 8 months. But I am producing the record which is almost done. My project is called the Dusty Strobe Lights and you can find me on Facebook and here: www.myspace.com/thedustystrobelights
I have a few songs posted for all of you. I will be releasing an Ep of "Summer Mixes" May 28th at the Bryant-Lake Bowl with our friend Drew Victor.

Hey peeps. Just thought that I would give you all a little update. Skinny Ryan is no longer a Mpls resident. As of this weekend, he now lives in a far off land (not to far off, but far enough to make things hiatusy for a while). He is getting married this Rocktober - which is awesome.

We are still a band. We've got a new album about 1/3 to 1/2 done. We'll be putting it out late winter/or early spring '09 hopefully. But we probably won't be playing many/any shows for a bit.

Hey everyone, we are still alive. Just thought i would note that since we’ve been MIA lately. Got some poo cooking...

While I am here, I will take this opportunity to tell you that if you like weird British humor, you should search for "Vince meets the Crack Fox" on youtube and then go from there. "the Crimp-off" is another of my favourite clips.

I have reflected my fandom of the show by putting them in our top friends section. This, i am told, shows my devotion to the Mighty Boosh (and other groups and individuals in our top friends section).

So we've reached the end of our tour over in the UK, and it was to say the least an experience non of us will ever forget. We played a lot of shows to very receptive crowds. Met lots of new friends and interesting people. Took in as many sights as humanly possible, and explored the wonders of food and beverages that makes UK so unique. It is, without a doubt, the best time we all had as a band and pictures will not begin to describe the time we had there. We just hope that what we have shown you so far can give you a small sense of the adventures we had while over there. Not all moments were captured on film [and some that we are all glad were not captured on film], but we did our best to document what we could.

basically, it was the shit.

hey all, quick note.

we've got a few english shows under our belts and it's been a blast so far. we'll be posting pics and whatever soon. played london on thursday and barrow-in-furness last night. both shows were great. went out dancing after the show and generally had an amazing time. Many pints of john smith's smooth. Many.

Hello again.

Well, some of you may have noticed that we blocked off a few weeks in January for a UK trip and today we're making our dates available. These are the shows we have confirmed and there may be a few more added in the coming weeks. If anyone knows peeps over that way, please let them know about our visit if you think they might like to check a show or two out.

Yesterday, our record went out to college/indie radio thanks to Tinderbox here in Minneapolis. So far, things have been going well. Events is among the top 5 adds in a lot of places so far and we're going up against some pretty stiff "competition" (animal collective anyone?).

So, if you listen to college radio, and you probably should and do, please request some US Events in your area - if you want and the spirit moves you of course. Special props to Brandon and everyone at Tinderbox for helping us out.

We are also headed back into the studio and working on some film stuff in Oct. I will be putting out some remixes as soon as I replace my (sadly/infuriatingly) stolen powerbook.

And finally, we're working on some shows. We are so bad at that. But hopefully soon we'll be out and about in the Madison/Milewaukee/Chicago areas and beyond. UK peeps: watch out for a small US invasion in January.
