Hey hey! Good news. We just learned that our recording, "Dali's Dark Dream," received airplay on the Sirius satellite radio network. Even better news, airplay we got was courtesy of one of the most renowned rock critics ever, Dave Marsh on his show Kick out the Jams. If you don't know Dave, he was one of the co-founders of Creem Magazine, a longtime editor at Rolling Stone, and the author of several books on Bruce Springsteen. For those interested, Dave's show airs on Sunday's from 10:00 a.m. till noon e.t. on Sirius Channel 29.

Wow, I got an email from TMax last week and he was kind enough to tell me that Axemunkee made it into the Noise Top 30 radio chart for December. Yippee ...that's great news!
AND ...I posted the acoustic version of Kinetic Gypsy (a new tune) which will be recorded for the next CD. However, you can get a sneak preview by listening to what we did on Baystate Rock with the rockin' Carmelita on Nov. 30th ...we had a blast, did 4 tunes and this one was the first. Brian James engineered, Geoff Chase mastered.
Moving forward to 2009 ..starting the recording process for the new ONE. :)
And, absorbing all sorts of experiences for the next big thing.

Despite the turkey stupor -the lack of sleep- the food induced coma...there will be a first on Sunday night. We're going acoustic (first time ever) -no electric anything..going minimal on WAAF's BayState Rock with Carmelita. We'll be kicking it with 4 tunes, some off SideWalk Mary and one new one.

Hey - here is some news. Since it's election season...we are looking for some help on our very cool news.
Axemunkee's album, Sidewalk Mary, and the album's first track, "Acid Django," are first-ballot nominees for the 2009 Grammy awards in the Rock category. Sidewalk Mary in on the first ballot for Best Rock Album, while "Acid Django" is on the first ballot for Best Rock Instrumental Performance. This means the album and the song are now vying to become one of five, final-ballot nominees in their respective fields. We are honored, of course, by the Recording Academy's recognition, and want to ask any Grammy voters among you to please remember us when you cast your votes.
Please if you know any grammy voters...please have them consider us!
Oh, and don't forget ..only 7 more days until we decide the future of this country. VOTE!!
