I am feeling fine. Really. It could always be better since nothing is perfect, but I'm not one to complain easily.

Honestly, I'm doing alright. Looking back at my life so far I see absolutely no reason to complain. There are no regrets.

Really, everything is ok. I'm not sick nor poor, not lonely, neither unlucky and certainly not feeling out of love.

But how are you? Honestly.

I turned twenty-five this weekend.

Not much of a big deal for me. I didn't want it to turn into a big party, but felt more like having a nice and quiet day. I watched a couple of films that had been on my "to see"-list for quite some time now. A whole day of doing nothing: just what I needed.

Apart from that I've been rather busy actually. I have started a crash course in web design in order to improve my chances of finding a job that keeps me happy. Only two more months to go, followed by an internship of 6 weeks. Although the job doesn't pay anything, I'm actually looking forward to that. Now, if Kevin would take my advice on how to improve his nation simulation game, I could add another original project to my portfolio as well.

The times they are a-changin'. That's what Bob Dylan sang in 1964, over fourty years ago. Great song, but I'm not really noticing any change.

In my last update I mentioned I was looking for work. Now, nearly five months later, I'm still looking. There were some very close calls -- that interview at Google HQ seemed to have gone well -- but still haven't found what I'm looking for. And so the search continues...

The times they are a-frustratin'.

Well, life has become slightly more hectic lately. I admit that finishing my thesis was one of the hardest things I've ever had to do, but securing the job of your life isn't easy either, at least in my case. Who is interested in hiring a 'master in history' nowadays? Not to many companies, I can tell you that.

At the moment I'm eagerly waiting for the response of two companies in particular. One is a scientific bookstore in Ghent, near where I used to live, and the other is a technology magazine I've had a subscription to since 2004 I think.

I do hope I get a reply from one of those sooner or later. My agency told me I'd probably have to wait about a week, but time's really slow when you want something so bad.

Category: Blogging
Although I enjoy writing and have been keeping a blog since 2003, I never quite got the hang of blogging in English.

At one time I tried to maintain one, somewhere over at Live-something, but that just didn't work out, and eventually those posts were incorporated back into "the motherblog".

Anywho, I'm not sure about this second try either. I registered at MySpace several weeks ago, but haven't been checking on the account since then. The aesthetics and overal functionality seem a bit, well, "unusual".
