HOT COPS Taking Hearts and Breaking Names EP(Formula 7 Records, PO Box 4194, Wayne, NJ 07470) Hot Cops are a three piece from New Jersey. This is their first 7-inch EP. Something about it really reminds me of Chisel. Great pop-punk with a little bit of an indie-rock edge. The 7-inch comes with a CDR of the record for easy iPod-ing and has an extra song to boot (an awesome cover of Squeezes Another Nail In My Heart). Dont miss this. Mikey Erg

From Redzone Publications http://www.redzone.8m.com/contact_6.html
Formula Seven Records is a small indie label in New Jersey thatcnotacted us to review some of there cds. Always happy to help out up and coming labels we took a listen and here's what we thought of the first of the two cds, Birdsting's Anti-Music Basement.
With obvious influences from all the "the" bands i.e. The Strokes, The Hives, The Bravery with a sprinkle of The White Stripes, Birdsting has done what few bands can do these days. Make radio music that doesnt make me want to punch people in the face. With fun music throughout this cd that makes you want to grab a dance partner and spin around the room and song titles that make you smile, you just dont want to hit stop. Starting with bubble-gum radio rock song, Ms. Married Ms. American Slut, you get this energy you cant seem to stop. Not even durring Interlude, which is strictly intrumental; and Mr. Beardcrumbs which is slower as well. This band deffiantely has what it takes to bring back a music scene that seems to have fizzled out, heart and dedication. We hope to hear more from Birdsting in the future.
BirdSting is:
ari , joe , josh , rod

Corey bribed me (Mike Atari) with promise of free F7 merchanise to tell you all what's going on with the label and stuff. So here we go. Not one, but TWO upcoming record releases. One is the Hot Cops 7" + CDep release entitled Taking Hearts and Breaking Names. Go to www.formula7records.com, to pre-order. The other is the long-awaited Birdsting debut, Anti-Music Basement. This one will be available in July of this year. Like I said in the beginning of this post, F7 merch WILL be available. I've seen the shirt, which was designed by Jimmy Valentine, aka that really tall guy in Mitsuko & Hot Cops. Anyway, it's awesome. There's also a beer cozy, which I haven't seen. But sure to be awesome as well. These will be available for purchase on the site sooner rather than later. Lastly, Birdsting and some naked house guest were interviewed in Exit Weeklsy. www.exitweekly.com, www.myspace.com/exitweekly, Okay that's it. Really...
