As we rarely check our myspace page due to time constraints and lack of concern, please contact us at sean@permanentrecordstudios.net or call 307-221-5235. Or try us here and wait a possible 4 months for a response, just don't take it personal.

Brandon Schantz was the former Sports Director for Channel 5 here in Cheyenne, and hosted the usually hysterical "Schantz on the Streets". I met Brandon several years ago when I was writing commercials, we shared an interest in local music and production work. Brandon loved to hear of my adventures in Venice, the place where he would eventually move. Brandon was always positive and upbeat, and a fun guy to be around. In my course of work I had the opportunity to help organize several local events ( Globetrotters, Disney on Ice, Sesame Street Live, motocross, monster trucks, etc.) and knew that not only could I count on Brandon to help by making guest appearances, but that he actually enjoyed being a part of these events and knew how to make them fun for everyone with his boundless energy.Brandon passed away last Thursday at the age of 27. Brandon was a great guy and will be dearly missed.

THE LOCAL'S LOUNGE Sunday Nights at 8pm on 99.9 The Point! Your chance to hear local music of Colorado and Wyoming!
Are you in a local band and looking to get played on Local's Lounge? Heres some stuff you should know:
If you want your band to be considered send your stuff to:
LOCAL'S LOUNGE 3201 East Mulberry Street Unit H Fort Collins, CO 80524
---PLEASE NO CALLS---
Make sure your music is on an audio CD. CD-R is ok. CD-RW may not work. Put the CD in a case, and make sure to have a track list included separately and make sure the CD is clearly labeled. Let us know which song(s) you think would sound the best on air. Also include your contact info including an e-mail address, so we can get a hold of you, a short bio, the URL of any webpage or MySpace page your band has, and (VERY IMPORTANT) if your band name or any song names have even the slightest chance of being mispronounced please include a detailed phonetic spelling so we dont butcher the names. Please include when and where you are playing in the upcoming months or if you have a CD coming out and well mention it when we play your band. We can try to play you in conjunction with some of the dates, but there are no guarantees as to when you may be played.
We cant play every band that sends us a CD. So we have our panel of Point music staff that will listen to all the local CDs we are sent and will then decide what bands to play every Sunday. We will let you know if you are chosen to be showcased on LOCALS LOUNGE by the Wednesday before it airs. With as many local bands as there are we have a huge amount of music to choose from. And to all the punk bands, death metal bands, jam bands, etcWe cant devote every Sunday to obscure hard to handle local bandsThis does not mean we cant play certain types of music, but music that has a style that fits our station will probably receive more consideration.
Make sure your music is produced well! We have a standard of sound quality that we stick to. If you cant invest the time to make a good recording, we wont invest the time to play it.
If you would like feedback on your music we will be happy to tell you what we think. If we like it well tell you, if we dont like it, well tell you and try and tell you why.
We will not play songs that could be considered obscene by the FCC that are not edited. They can fine us big time for playing dirty tracks, so we wont do it. Dont assume well edit it for you, it may put you at the end of the list. The average radio song is 3-4 minutes long. We can play ones that are a bit shorter or a bit longer. Radio Edits are a beautiful thing for REALLY long songs.
Do NOT have fans and friends call in and request your song 100 times! Mobilizing your street team to harass us non-stop about your band will have NO positive effect on getting you airplay what-so-ever. Just send us your stuff and if you are picked well let you know. PLEASE NO CALLS! If you need to ask us anything drop us an email at localmusic@999thepoint.com
