OK peeps, just wanna run an idea by you all.
We're thinking about putting on a club/live bands night in Leicester, probably once every couple of months, with ourselves and other like minded noise freaks from the surrounding area (Leicester, Notts, Derby, Brum etc).
The nights will also include DJ sets from ourselves and anyone else who's interested and we'll be playing all the stuff that has influenced us.
So that means:
Metal (Mastodon, Slayer, Entombed etc)
Stoner rock (Fu Manchu, Lowrider, Dozer etc)
Classic rock (Motorhead, Led Zep, Hawkwind)
Heavy Alt. rock (QOTSA, Monster Magnet etc)
Seattle scene (Soundgarden, Melvins, Mudhoney)
A bit of punk (Turbonegro, New Bomb Turks, Guitar Wolf)
Maybe even a bit of silliness too...
The bands we'll put on will reflect the sort of stuff so it wont be all crushingly heavy bands all the time, just mostly!
This is still very much an idea at the moment so we would very much appreciate any feedback we could get on this. That includes music/bands you would like to see/hear and where you'd like it to happen.
Any bands that wanna play or venues that would be interested in hosting this please get in touch with us, as well as anyone who's interested in helping us promote the events or get involved in any way.
