Yes, Hello.

Woh, what a night that was.  There was a line up for goodness sake, and there was definitely something in the air.  To play with the likes of Zeus and Gentleman Reg on a stage like that of The Dakota Tavern, alongside my bros Simeon, Mike, and Warren, made it a night to remember.  We did play the night like it was our last, as did everybody else.

hillside was a BLAST.  dusty, sunny, swimming, smiles, sounds, beer, food, kiddies, crafts... that basically sums it up! 

danielle and simeon participated in two great workshops, one friday night (in the rain... the tent was packed!) and another saturday afternoon.  what a great way to be exposed to other artists at hillside.  for anyone who goes in the years to come, i'd say it's a necessity to catch some of these workshops.

then the main event: the danielle duval band's set on sunday afternoon.  such a great way to top the weekend.  i think danielle, warren, michael and simeon made some new fans.  saw some old ones there too!

the wonderful joe chisholm of indiecan interviewed danielle "on-the-fly" after her set.  he has some great questions for her... check it out here. you'll have to scroll through, or just listen to the whole thing.  he interviews danielle about 27 minutes in.

so the weekend had its minor lows (losing the car...) and some amazing highs (danielle's bday!!).  it was such a great experience, i feel lucky i was able to go along for the ride.

danielle and the band are playing a week today, august 30 at the rivoli with patrick krief and seedy ease.  it's krief's cd release party, it should be a great night, come on by :)

It was 3:00AM.  Our gear was still on the supermarket stage just as we had left it when we finished what we had waited so long to do.  For some reason unbeknownst to me, the supermarket peeps hadn't yet put us out on the pavement.  There were still scatterings of the die-hard crews milling around screaming after-party.  As I walked through the place in the calm after the storm all I could think was, "where's the bus".  Suffice it to say that all of you gave us the best party we could have hoped for. So thank you.  We're ready to do it again now.  Wherever, whenever, and whatever this road has in store for us next.  Back into the ring boys.

We are getting close to unveiling the new EP.  June 14th, Supermarket, Kensington Market, Toronto.  We received final copies and they look amazing.  The cover was painted by t j garcia.  He is an extraordinarily talented artist. 

The release is going to be a PARTY.  We have DJ Second Coolest Kid In Town, Seedy Ease and Danielle and her gang providing entertainment for everyone all night.  AND IT'S FREE!!  In the spirit of all good parties, there is no charge.

We are planing lots of fun things for the evening, so make sure you come along!!
