It started out innocently enough. I began to think at parties now and thenjust to loosen up. Inevitably, though, one thought led to another, and soon I was more than just a social thinker.

In November 2005, a study was released that sought to compare the effects of religiosity in society verses those democratic societies who have become secularized since the 1800s.

Its findings were a surprise to anyone who is religious and a boon to those who are not.

Religion is bad for society, it said.

Well, I suppose it can be many more things, also.  But, for me, today it is a puppy!

Winston joined our family last night; it was the end of one journey that lasted over 6 years (when I last had an Australian Shepherd), and the beginning of another (the first night with a new dog is always, um, interesting).
