From the website Starve In Heaven

"From the first chord played, I was expecting yet another oh-we're-so-hardcore metal-esque band with no redeeming qualities. I am beyond proud to say that that is not what we got: we saw a band, whilst clearly showing influences such as Machine Head, Deftones and Alexisonfire's earlier work, with several original bones in the collective corpus. They effused such a raw energy that even the likes of Neil Perry and Pg. 99 would have been in awe of their performance. The vocal delivery was teeming with emotion and ranged from a whisper to a yell to a guttural scream: and by god, were all three of these beautiful. Coupled with his movement, this was performance art: music beyond music, it told a tale. Riffs, fills and solos were played with an air of an almost throwaway attitude: it was as if this came oh-so easily to them. Also rare for a band of their age, the bassline actually played a role in their songs: it was audible and drove the rest of the song along, something which I found to be genuinely refreshing."

we say: Thanks to everyone who came to see us ,  and thanks to the people that didn't but moshed along anyway !!.. big thanks to the way inn and matt smith for letting us play, and sorry to the girl i accidentally hit in the face with a bunch of stickers, i swear to god i didnt mean to, i tried to throw them to everyone and they stuck together, if you are that girl, im also sorry for running away afterwards, i didnt want it to be awkward, you know how it is, i actually felt pretty bad because even though they're small they're quite sharp and you looked offended, come to the next gig and i'll buy you a muffin or something, nothin too expensive mind you they were only stickers, but still i know it was rude so.. all of last night was really, really good fun.. it was our first proper gig and we hosted it ourselves to try and kick off with style, which was always gonna mean there might be teethin problems.. couple of mistakes here and there in our set but in general between the other bands and the crowd (all 139 of you, i think it was that anyway..) they made it a fun night.. apologies for equipment failures and things, but when you go underground.. lol.. ok anyway yeah the main thing is to say a really big thank you to:

last bullets - what a set man, and a hell of a crowd

when autumn falls - explosive as always, sorry for the hiccups at the start of the set

russ the sound guy - cheers man, sorry you didn’t get home till 1am

pav - hope you managed to get a good collection, and thanks for takin the lights at the last minute, good job :)

sam / carol - big thanks for the photos / filmin

guys on the door - cheers, organisin stuff like this can get hectic so havin guys like you is essential..

fallen from static -  hope you managed to spread the word, people really got into the tracks we played, sorry i was a bit shit introducin them and we didnt get to play the final one..

irish club people, tom - thanks for havin us..

ke aston - thanks for the stage and stuff

ben marshall (DRS) - thanks for the equipment

finally the biggest thanks really should go to people like adam’s (and sam’s) dads who helped set up and take down and transport all that stuff, we were there for an extra couple of hours after it finished takin down the stage and equipment and takin it all back.. does take an insane amount of effort

HOWEVER all would have been nothin without the people that paid and turned up to go, i know i shouldnt whine but we know our set was a bit rough around the edges, and if it was a good set then that was really cos of the crowd so all our mates that came, cheers guys :)

PS now please buy tickets for the bar academy on the 3rd of may, because we’re gonna jump back into the rehearsal room and work really fuckin hard to give the best show we can that night to really give back what you all put in last night!! :D

.. message us if you're interested in playin with us... basically, since eddies burnt down, its been hard to find decent slots for heavier bands.. so it might be that we host some of our own all ages events like at the irish centre etc , or if you need a decent support band / wanna start some sort of alternative circle, that sort of thing...

for anyone who's wonderin about the name..

i would hate to sound pretentious, but just cos people have asked..

i personally take it as meanin simply everybody has their own story, behind your own eyes you're a ball of thoughts and memories and images and ideas, but you never see that part of anyone else.. i think its interestin thinking about all the different pairs of eyes wandering around the streets and all the things each one has seen that you don't know.. what if the pretty girl on the bus is some crazy fuckin bunny boiler psycho ? and not everyone has a good side, but everyone has a dark side... behind their eyes, see? also, "cyanide" is a fucking cool word and the logo CN-ii looks sick :D

thanks, alain
