The Aloe GuyThanks for visiting. I always have a few on hand, aloes propagate so well. I am supplying small quantities for individuals that want aloe plants but can't obtain them locally. Several varieties are available including aloe vera, and aloe ferox; both know for medicinal properties. I have assortments that I grow from seeds and offshoots from mature plants. More varieties of cacti and yucca are also available. ALOE PLANTING INSTRUCTIONS: Aloes have a shallow, spreading root system; So, when it's time to plant, propagate, or repot: choose a wide planter rather than a deep one. Use a planter with a drainage hole or provide a 1-2 inch layer of gravel in the bottom of the pot to ensure adequate drainage. Terra-cotta pots are perfect for aloes because they don't retain the extra moisture that could damage the plant; but if you are careful not to over-water, any planter will do. When you pot your seedlings or transplant use regular potting soil with extra coarse sand, granite grit, or perlite added. Pre-packaged 'cactus mix' is a good choice. I have found compsted 'cow manure' to work well. I make my own soil by composting.
Dampen the soil before potting. The aloe won't require more water for about 2 weeks. Then pierce the soil with a fork to break up the surface, thus allowing the soil to better absorb the water. Water lightly! It takes up to 45 days for newly potted 'pups' to establish a root system. Fertilize yearly in the spring with a dilute (half strength). Aloes are propagated by removing the offshoots which are produced from the base and roots of mature plants. Let them reach 4-6 inches before separating them from the 'mother' plant. Older aloe plants love bright sun but they do well under medium lighting. Direct sunlight can be damaging, especially to young plants. Between watering, allow the soil to dry completely! Less water is needed during the colder months when the aloe becomes somewhat dormant. Aloes like being potbound and can be divided in the spring, or any time you have a lot of baby plants springing up. Aloes are succulents, with leaves that hold water for long periods of time. Too much water can rot the plant and it would take the most severe drought to dry it out. The aloes other enemy: cold! Light frost can cause severe damage and freezing is deadly. It will do well near a window, even with minimal or artificial lighting, such as florescents. Optimal is a bright but indirect sunlight exposure.
Aloe plants are welcome friends in the kitchen for those minor mishaps. Good first aid for burns and cuts. To use medicinally slice a small piece and squeeze the gel onto the affected area. Potting aloes is a great children's project. The plants are easy to handle and hardy enough for little hands to replant

http://www.aloeandcactus.com/ The succulent leaves of Aloe Vera are one of nature's perfect packaging miracles. Break a leaf off the fleshy stem from which a fan of sessile leaves radiate, and the plant quickly seals in the vital juices. Even the cut segment will heal over the end where it is sliced and retain its plumpness to remain green for several days. In a refrigerator it keeps for two or three weeks. The transparent pulp from a fresh-cut leaf helps the work of healing cuts and bums. It is used in shampoo, sunburn lotions, and bum ointment | Where Will You Make Your Love Connection? | | A Key Click Away So you spend most of your time reading blogs, hanging out on social networking sites and living through your virtual avatar. The healing properties of Aloe Vera have been known, and are recorded, since biblical times. For centuries aloe has been used by native Americans as medicine. The gel of the aloe plant is used for a variety of ailments: minor cuts and insect stings; rashes such as poison ivy, and other itchy skin problems; and the mucilaginous gel is soothing to burns and sunburns. A living aloe vera is a must for your kitchen window. To use aloe medicinally, as a healing agent or as a pain relieving ointment, remove a section of a lower leaf that is 2 years or older. Squeeze the juice onto the affected area and leave uncovered. Reapply as necessary. Live aloe plants come in handy! Remember: these healing benefits can be applied to pets as well! *_FREE ALOE PLANT_* COME SEE ME ON EBAY

Why do we try to force things to work like puzzle pieces that just don't fit?? Don't we know that life is just to damn short??? It's not that house, or that car, or that bank account that makes us fulfilled... Its that soft, warm touch that says, " I love you", It"s the gentle smile that says, " I'm happy your here"... It's those butterflies we get in our bellies each time the phone rings and his/her name appears... It is that magnetic feeling that literally pulls at our hearts... It is getting ready to take our last breath in this life and looking at the one with you and saying, "I have no regrets, and my heart is full that I got to spend my days with you!!!"... It is having the one you want to meet you at the gates of heaven, meet you at the gates of your home each day.... I am content to live my life alone, rather than live without that "one" in my life.... Because..... those are the things that matter most.

| Which Constellation Are You? | | Orion In sky lore, Orion is the hunter. He once boasted that he would slay every animal on earth, so Gaia sent Scorpius to kill him first. In Egyptian mythology, Orion is the region from which all pharaohs begin their journeys. As a hunter, you are very skilled in getting exactly what you want. Sometimes you have a tendency to go a little too far though. Keep your emotions in check and you'll be fine. |

trying and getting your hopes up that there might be someone that's looking for the same thing I am, you know? on the same page, and wanting to feel loved. Well, if you try your best and you know that this was your best shot at making a real connection, then if it doesn't work out because of reasons beyond your control, it's nobody's fault. Might as well accept that maybe I'm not meant to be happy in love.

BLOOMING CACTUSLet the wound dry for about a week, then plant the pad in a shallow depression cut side down. Water every 2 weeks to get the roots started. Minimal water is needed. Once every 2 to 3 weeks in the summer is sufficient for new plants. When established they can generally survive on rainfall alone. As with any herbaceous plant, however, shriveling or wilting means they need to be watered. Large, rooted cutting just 8 bucks: U GOTTA CHECK OUT MY NEW 'KAMKAZI CACTUS PLANTS!
