Last friday, four lucky clettes got to spend the afternoon with the winners of the BC SEA (sustainable energy association) class room contest - Grades 4-6 from Queen Mary Elementary.

Kids across the city were asked to reduce their impact over a period of 30 days. This included logging and inputting the tasks into a calculator to determine  total carbon reduction.  I think the avg reduction was 13 tonnes per kid!  over 30 days! that's amazing!

We were asked to join them in their celebration.  It was so much fun! We talked about why bikes are so cool, why and how we ride our bikes, and then did a couple numbers.  Then we ALL played dance games. Then the pizza arrived. FUN!!!  It was super great to play like a kid again.

Thanks to BC SEA for asking us to be a part of this!
